Neon Moon Restaurant and Social Club - American restaurant in Yantis - 4672 TX-154, USA

We stumbled upon this place on a road trip. The portions were huge, and the menu choices extensive. We were there for lunch so was quiet (and dark) , but it is a dance hall, so wasnt expecting it to be hopping then. It looks like it would be a blast to be at on a Friday or Saturday night.

Went in tonight for the Bobby Irwin show and as expected, the show and atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress Shelby (like the Mustang) was outstanding. She did a great job of checking on the table regularly and making sure our glasses were full. It was a busy night, but she took the time to talk to us and really made us feel like we were the most important people in the room. I’m sure she did for the same for all of her tables, but it’s a level of service that you just don’t get lately from anywhere. To say that I was impressed is an understatement. Thank you Neon Moon and Shelby for a wonderful, memorable evening.I look forward to my next visit.

The service was great. Music was mixed, entertaining but not enough dancing music. Nevertheless, the only venue east of Dallas and very much welcomed.

It's a nice restaurant. The food is not good at all. My wife and I have been here twice. Both times the service is great, the people are very friendly. It seems a little unorganized. The servers have to run around like chickens with their heads cut off. The flow of the place is very inefficient. My wife got the fajitas, the rice was mushy on the outside and hard on the middle. It tasted like it was a week old, very bland. The steak was very tough, and the chicken was very dry. The cook didn't peel the onions, they cooked and served the skin. The guacamole was brown and bland. Everything had the same taste, gross. I had the taco salad. The shell was burnt, and it was nothing but shredded lettuce. We came in starving, and left hungry.

The people are friendly, which is why I gave 1 star. The food is gross and expensive for what you actually get. This is the 2nd time my family and I have been there and we wanted to give it another try. We were told to find a seat and a server would come find us. The servers were all over the place, most likely due to not having an organized seating situation. It took 10 minutes for someone to come take our order, by that time we knew what we wanted and she just wanted to get out drinks and go. We said we were ready to order, not wanting to wait longer. It was around 5pm on a Wednesday so not too busy. We ordered a beer each and she came back in 10 minutes with a water. When she asked if we wanted water when we first ordered, we said no. I ordered the fajitas and they were not fresh. The steak was dry and chewy. The chicken was bland. The rice tasted like it was boiled with a dirty sock. 🤮 The sour cream was watery. The onions were not even peeled all the way and I was unable to chew them. Not to mention the server didn't come back regularly and if so we would have ordered another beer. I will not eat here again and would not recommend this place for a place to go eat. No hard feelings, just gross food.

The floor manager Tiffany was very friendly and professional but extremely over worked. The food had good flavor but was barely warm. Over all I don't think I will go back, I prefer my food to be hot after waiting 30 minutes for it.

I gave 2 stars only becouse the staff was great. Our waitress was friendly and nice. We ordered the Cajun Egg rolls and Fried pickles for appetizers and the pickles were kind dry and too salty and the egg rolls had a mozzarella cheeze that kinda made them gross I myself was craving a steak and being in Texas i had very high hopes for the steak dinner. I ordered the 8oz Ribeye medium rare with baked potatato and mac & cheese. My wife ordered chicken fajitas. My steak was paper thin and looked like it had been boiled in butter on a flat grill. It was not even close to medium rare there was no red or pink center due to it being so thin, and it was so greesy that all you could tasre was grease and pepper. No buttery steak tatse that a ribey should have. My wifes chicken tasted so bland and was like it was prepagaged and precook and then warmed in a microwave. Sorry to say we will stay clear of this place and let others know as well.

Absolutely a family favorite, we’re fairly new to the area and they treated us like locals from the first time coming in. Absolutely delicious appetizers and my teenage boys love the burgers/Chicken fried steak “Can we just go to neon moon” is all I ever get when I’m trying to plan dinner. 🍻
