Negril Restaurant - Jamaican restaurant in Orlando - 6301 Silver Star Rd, USA

Visited this restaurant on Monday and it was my first time. The customer service was good. However the food was NOT. I got the fried chicken with oxtail gravy and rice and peas. The rice and peas tasted like parboiled rice which in my opinion is a no no when cooking authentic Jamaican rice and peas and the chicken was so dry and bland and that gravy did not taste like oxtail gravy. Will not be returning because the food simply didn’t taste good.

this is literally the worst location ever the lady at the register. I don’t know if she is a part of the ownership or what but her attitude is nasty no matter where you go in there she’s not friendly she does not smell she does not welcome you the workers are lazy and every time I go in there is something different now I can’t get an express now. The express comes with only meet just the other day. I got oxtails on my rice and peas inside the express, they make their own rules and the oxtails was too spicy today. I got a curry goat that I cannot even eat. It is extremely too spicy and I love spice. I get the jerk all the time it’s up-and-down hit or miss sometimes it’s OK a lot of times it’s Super dry I came in there early for my lunchtime, one day and purchase The fried snapper I was on my way to work so I didn’t have time to turn around so I called because the fried snapper was spoiled and the smell was horrific so I called to let them know. Hey, I can’t eat this the taste the smell is horrible I’m not coming back for my money back I don’t want another fish all I want you to do is throw that batch away because you are going to make someone sick today, they told me well The main lady Manager is not here so she’ll give you a call back with your concerns do you think I got a call back? No I was out of $18 on a fish that I couldn’t even eat every time you go in there is something different. The food is going way downhill , the worst I hear from everybody they may not leave reviews but tonight took the cake for me so I’m leaving a review because I live literally two minutes away from this place so I eat here all the time it sucks because I just keep on giving them the benefit of the doubt because one day its perfect the next day is horrible but it’s always OK when the dark skin lady with the pulled back ponytail at the register is not there her energy is just super depressing and evil unfortunately, and I’ve encountered multiple people who have experienced her. Tell me the same thing something is truly off there. Oh, and let me not forget how the guy with the dreads that cooks in the back was outside on the side of the building peeing by the grill with a jerk chicken was cooking. That’s the last time I ate jerk chicken because they had to go to the back to get it, he did not wash his damn hands. He stood out there afterwards and spoked a cigarette. this place is sad

First time trying negril restaurant So far, it was easy to find Pretty decent Caribbean spot with friendly staff but not worth my $60 for 3 season less flat fish , watery-salt less cabbage not even sweet plantains was given with large size shame

I came in and picked up food for a family get together. 2 large oxtails and 1 large curry chicken. My family is Jamaican so imagine the dissatisfaction and disappointment upon tasting rough and tough oxtails that were not fully cooked, they were like rubbery pucks!

Our 2nd time here and no disappointment, the service was exceptional. Everyone was pleasant and friendly to us, and of course,I made the drive fit that awesome food. We ordered the curry chicken Roti, jerk chicken, and oxtail with rice and peas, a side of that perfectly cooked cabbage that's not overcooked😋 and sweet plantains. Of course, the line was at the door, but we placed our order in less than 10 minutes of our arrival. So far, our favorite Jamaican spot, we will definitely be back for that perfectly cooked food.

The food, people and atmosphere are on point. I ate fried whole snapper, little bit of red beans and rice, and steam canbage. I drank a bottle of natural pineapple & ginger juice..

This place is great it has great people here a friendly environment and the food is out of this world love the chicken wings and oxtails great place to grab lunch anytime

Didn't enjoy. Place is outdated. Felt like I was in a cattle line. Not good to me. For the price it's not worth it. The fish was dry. My daughter got brown stew chicken which was all bone. Look like the soup kitchen line!!! Nawww I'll pass. The drink was the best thing. 😱
