Needles KOA Journey - Campground in Needles - 5400 Route 66, 5400 National Old Trails Rd, USA

This park was perfect for our journey. We arrived after dark and the office was open until 7. We needed a few items which were available for purchase in their store. It was all reasonably priced. The check-in staff was very kind and helpful. It was easy to navigate to our spot. The spot was gravel but very level. The park is located decently close to the highway. If you listen carefully you can hear the traffic but it was barely existent. It was a nice and quite and was just right to let us recharge before hitting the road again.

This was the 3rd time we have been to this RV park for a short, 2-night stay on the way somewhere else. Beautiful campground with large dog park, walking trails, and mountains all around. They also have a cute gift shop with a variety of Route 66 memorabilia, food items, beverages, and it's run by very friendly people. We will definitely be back again.

Nice KOA if you're an RV - lodging not as much. We have definitely stayed in nicer.||The grounds seem well kept BUT:||Restrooms are incredibly dated and in need of just basic upkeep. They are functional and clean (although could be cleaner) but old and needing maintenance. Old isn't a problem for me - needing maintenance and upkeep is.||We stayed in a camping cabin and it is the basic version we've stayed in before but the floor is badly in need of refinishing (I got a splinter just walking to the door), the swing is unusable because of weathering, chair was wobbly and the ac unit blows across the unit as well as vibrating the bed.||This KOA is quite close to the freeway although it doesn't seem like it initially. While the staff was polite and helpful it is need of some serious upkeep. It could be great rather than just average.|

Awesome overnight stop! I came in very late, around midnight, and the lady running it was in contact with me that day to make sure I had everything I needed for the late check in. Super friendly staff, easy location in and out. I had a nice long pull through spot. Limited number of 50 amps spaces, but I used an adapter to plug into the 30amp pedestal. Pickup truck pulling a 38ft bumper pull travel trailer.

Just a nice place for a stopover. No special amenities, but everything you need. Do have a nice pool which is very welcome with 110+ degrees Fahrenheit. You know it's hot in advance if you come here in the summer. Great views and a very good price. Because we arrived late, I didn't see any staff (we knew in advance), but all papers were hanging ready at the front door.

The office owners was very nice and helpful. Location is good. No road or train noise. Campground minimally wooded. Sites are gravel mostly level. Space adequate but slightly on the small side. No grass. The campground is very clean. I did not use the public bathroom/shower. Nice landscaping. The roads in the campground are wide. Wifi poor speed shared (with all guests) password protected. All in all a very nice place. I would come back if in the area.

We stayed one night. Quiet location with easy in and out. Today I had a question about our KOA credit card charges. The lady I spoke to was patient and kind. Great customer service.

Nice place to stop while traveling. Nothing fancy, but clean, nice pull through sites, friendly staff and reasonably priced. I probably wouldn't want to stay during summer because there is no shade and it gets hot there. For us, though, it wasn't a problem late Sept.
