While passing through we decided to stay at the Navy Gateway Inn (it’s old barracks converted) rather Navy Lodge based on the reviews. It’s easy getting here just passed the main gate to first crosswalk and it’s on left, first building. Has plenty of parking and for those pulling a cargo/utility trailer etc.||The main lobby area is nice and updated, check-in was quick and lady was extremely friendly. It has elevators as well, vending area and patio area outside in between the buildings and apparently a Samual Adams pub, hot continental breakfast in the mornings…Sundays Grab & Go, fruits, Jimmy Dean egg & sausage biscuits or ham and drinks. The beds are comfy, pillows fluffy, has dresser, tv with lots of channels, desk w/chair, mini fridge, microwave, shower was clean and water stayed hot, towels are thick. The AC unit could use some cleaning as it was loud kicking on but overall a pleasant stay

Stayed for three weeks for an advancement board in the spring. This establishment has a very considerate staff that I would say defines "southern hospitality" and I mean this not only for the front desk clerk but for those in housekeeping as well. I appreciate the laundry room, Navy computers, extra coffees laid out in the rooms, and the grill out back with piped in propane. One bit of advise I could offer is to not serve the same breakfast daily. I was a tenant for three weeks. The breakfast stayed the same. At a minimum change up the eggs from hard boiled to scrambled. The 2nd item is your lines in the parking lot are too narrow!

This is my second time having an extended stay here for the 2nd year in a row. I am grading this establishment an "average" for multiple reasons. #1 my key card stopped working. The time when I initially came, so I had to leave my bags and go all the way back to the front desk. The 2nd time was 5/24, 10 days later. The front day crew thought I was part of another selection board, which is crazy and unsat, because NGIS sent me an e mail showing the days (duration) of my stay. This is not fun when it's 7pm, I'm in uniform, and it's pouring rain outside. #2 5/18 and 5/24 no toilet paper was replenished. On top of that, no coffee or creamers left on 5/24 either. "Kendall" was the housekeeper 5/24. Steve at the front desk took care of me and Kendall rebounded the following day. #3 Sheet cleaning. No standard is set. According to the internet, the etiquette is between 3 to 4 days depending on the hotel. NGIS has no policy, or if they do they do not follow it and their housekeepers are unaware. Vicki Mae on 5/21 (7 days staying at that point) noticed the markings and changed them. They were changed again on 5/26 by Chasity. #4 Ants. Housekeepers here change daily, so how can a person tip if it's not the same person the following day? Of the housekeepers I met, I will say Asih, Brittany, Chastity, Gabby, Lod, and Vicky Mae were very courteous and professional. I doubt these issues lie with the employees. It's with management. I would also encourage to leave a paper plate as other NGISs' do in the microwave and a water bottle because some re-stocked while others did not. Please read NGIS and handle accordingly.

The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. ||Room was very clean. It had a minifridge, microwave, coffeepot, amoire, tv, desk, chair, and a queen size bed.||Breakfast consisted of biscuits/gravy, omelets, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs, friut, fresh fruit, cereal, breads, muffins and waffles. It was good and the attendant was very nice.||Only downside is the rooms are in a quad. You enter through a common room with entry to 4 rooms.||Only other downside was the A/C. Each room is not really individually controlled. It is controlled by the temp, so it was cool outside and would not cut on. I like to keep one running at all times so no cool air circulation was a no go for me.

I stayed on base in 2009 at NGIS while on 2 week AD orders. Facilities have definitely been updated since then. Clean rooms with newer furnishings. Bed and linens were comfortable. Small pub within walking distance and morning continental breakfast. Staff very polite and professional.

The only reason I'm giving an average grade is because I spent 13 nights and never once did they change the sheets. how do I know? If you go to Rm. 231 Bldg. 451, you'll see "X's" on the sheets, pillow cases, and comforter. The American average for changing sheets is 3 to 5 days, so that means no one QAing the housekeepers. It also makes me wonder if my sheets were changed prior to the start of my stay Besides that issue of the sheets, my stay was okay.

First time here... I would say that this place is on par with a decent Comfort Suites. Keyring, micro, fridge, iron, hair dryer standard... bed was comfortable. Shower solid 9/10 - always hot water/pressure, bit cramped. Bfast is ok. Ok gym. Sam Adams decent little pub w/ bar food...

Stopped overnight here while on a road trip.||Room was very nice and the bed comfy.||The bath was also great with a nice shower - not a step in bathtub shower.||A/C was a little funky, I had to turn it down quite a bit to get the room cool, but once I figured it out, it was cool (pun intended).||I had a little trouble finding the room - there are a number of buildings and neither the map nor the directions were much help. But I eventually did find it and it was very nice. Room rate $68/night||Gateway Inn is on base and inside security perimeter so you will need base access.

Really great dive bar in the middle of nowhere! Karaoke is always fun here, I highly recommend it, can be smokey so if that bothers you might not be the place for you. They have 2 pool tables, darts and others games as well. Nice fire pit out back

We stopped on our cross country move because it had the best reviews. I walked in and asked about sitting outside on a patio or if our pup was allowed inside. They offered us either and said he was more than welcomed. They were the sweetest people we
