Navy Gateway Inns and Suites - Military residence in Port Hueneme - 36th Ave #1164, USA

Needed a place to use for a few days while visiting local attractions and this worked out well. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, dining room, large kitchen, washing machine and dryer. The living room tv had a cable connection for which the box was not set up, but managed to get it working. Being on a base allowed for easy, local purchase of some groceries. Getting back to the apartment, especially at night, was an adventure - Google maps wasn't working! We found ourselves at a remote, desolate part of the base one night! But no matter - overall the stay went well and we enjoyed a local pier and Universal Studios. (Traffic in Los Angeles was absolutely horrible. Glad we don't live there!)

Great hotel and a recommend for any staying on the naval base. The rooms are very modernized, free laundry, snack machines and you can grill out. Awesome service and willing to work with customers. Cheap rates which help a lower enlisted. The middle of the hotel is a miniature nature park with benches you can sit and relax in. There are trees that help block the sun to keep your room cooler, seemed like the walls were made of cement because we could not hear anyone around us. I didn't snag any pictures of the hotel bit I have some random ones of the surrounding area. The Naval base is located right next to one of the beaches also!

EXCELLENT accommodations. Will definitely return. Clean room! Everything fully operational. Excellent service each day. Excellent value for the money.

One of the best military hotels I have stayed at. It is up there with civilian hotels too. I would recommend getting a room here if you are in the area save your money and stay on base. It's close enough to everything theres no reason to pay twice as much to be walking distance from places. I will be staying here again next time we are in the area.

I really like staying at the NGIS. For work at the CB Base, you can't beat the location. They are always friendly at check-in. The rooms are all newly remodeled and are both visually appealing and comfortably appointed. You have a choice between a mini suite and a standard room. The mini suite has a full fridge, microwave, and hotplate. They also have a dish set for two. The standard rooms have only a mini fridge and microwave, but are still beautiful.

The room we got was a small, furnished house. It was very nice. The kitchen, dining room and living rooms were spacious and well laid out. The main issue was the shower. Poor water pressure plus a cheap shower head makes for a poor bathing experience. There was also some trash found behind some of the furniture when we got there. Overall though, a good stay.

Very comfortable queen bed, up to date interior.

Stayed one night in a deluxe queen suite with small kitchen and sofa bed. Kitchen was only equipped for light cooking, but did the job for us. Can't expect much from a sofa bed, but it's still an area for improvement. Ice machine was inoperable. Queen bed was comfortable. A/C was ice cold!! Bathroom was also good and took care of the basics. For a room that sleeps four adults, it's tough to beat the $134 price.
