Nature Center at White Tank Mountain Park - Nature preserve in Waddell - 20304 W White Tank Mountain Rd, USA

A gem in West Valley. Easy hikes...petroglyphs....lots of history. Visit The Visitor Center first and then go explore. Pack a lunch...lots of places to dine and enjoy views. Every saguaro has it's own personality.

We're planning our wedding at WTP and all of the staff we've talked to have been beyond friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's a beautiful park and has been a great experience.

I went on a Thursday morning and there was plenty of parking but that could have been because it was sprinkling at the time. They have bathrooms and water fountains at the beginning of the hike. I hiked up to the waterfall and saw lots of helloglyphics all the way throughout the hike. Most of it is paved and flat until you get really close to the waterfall and it's dirt and Rocky and a little bit of an incline. Plenty of really easy hiking spots at this park amazing views and absolutely massive cactuses here. Do you have any questions feel free to ask below.

There are lots of snakes to see. Nice variety of things to buy in the Nature Center store. Cute backpacks, walking sticks, mugs and soup bowls with cute big spoons to go with. People are super friendly and vending machines to the left of the door before entering into the store.

What a wonderful place to go visit and camp! My family and I have been going here for a few years now and we absolutely love it! The amenities make it an easy decision for us because they have running water, bathrooms, showers, and camp sites that are very camper friendly. We recently had a mix up when we reserved our campsite and the employees were eager to help fix the situation, even looking up other camp grounds for me. ( Thank you for your help 😎) The nature center was a little small but was packed with information, and live animals that my son was able to interact with!!! We can't wait to go back!

I loved it here. They charge $7 per vehicle to enter. There are so many trails! It was just beautiful! Was hoping to see some wildlife, but wasn't lucky enough.

Attached to the White Tank library, they have a few snakes and exhibits that have some critters. There's also two scorpions and a tarantula near the front desk. If you head out the back door you also can find a desert tortoise who may or may not be out of his burrow. It's definitely a nice little stop with a taste of history and education about the surrounding areas. The front desk is also very friendly and helpful!
