Natural Lands' Wawa Preserve - Nature preserve in Media - Valley Rd, USA

Beautiful trail! One of our family favorites. You’ll get beautiful birds, plants, creeks and a good workout with great views. Dogs to be kept leashed while walking.

Beautiful slice of Nature in an unexpected spot. Nice loop hike, but the bridges are either missing or washed out, so you need to improvise.

A great hiking trail that's not to crowded. The walk isn't very difficult, there are some fair sized gradients, but nothing too challenging. There's a place where the trail crosses a creek. We walked over side of Valley road, and it connects to the Darlington trail, so you can access that area as well. Recommended.

A beautiful hike many birds, some elevation, creek crossing, and we seen a railroad track. We didn’t get to hike the whole trail but will be visiting again!

Photogenic hike on unpaved trails along the Rocky Run creek that meandered through woods, abandoned railroad tracks and a meadow. It is a carry in/out park that is dog friendly with limited adjacent parking. Multiple wildlife sightings of frogs, spiders and fish. For the more adventurous, walk the train track planks where you look through the planks at the river far below.

If you love the sound of flowing water, it’s the right place. It’s a quite place, not a lot of visitors and aprox 30-45 minutes of trail walk.

What a great improvement in cleaning up this preserve since I was last here over 2 years ago when it was truly trashed. This preserve runs along Rocky Run creek for some distance. This is very beautiful forest area for the first part and then forest and fields on the other side of the creek. Additional trail markers would be very helpful as I only found the location of cement pavers to get across the water because it showed up on my Garmin. The kiosk at the parking lot could use a map (which it had two years ago but no longer). Also adding a bridge type crossing for those not comfortable using the cement pavers or walking through the creek would increase accessibility for more less able bodied people. Overall this is a wonderful piece of land. Rocky Run is a beautiful creek with large boulders that run through an area with some large old trees. It also has fields that provide habitat for many birds. It should be noted that this preserve connects to the the Darlington Valley Open Space and the Rocky Run to Rocky Run YMCA and also the Rocky Run Trailhead on Old Forge Road.

The trails are nice enough, but I tend to not want to hear traffic (or smell a water treatment facility) when I spend time outdoors.
