I love coming here. There are so many beautiful and informative displays. They also change a few displays occasionally, so it makes each visit a new experience. I am a recipient of the Purple Heart, wounded in Iraq. I feel greatly honored that a place like this exists. The staff is awesome. They are all so friendly and helpful.
Words are difficult to describe how poignant this place of honor is. The information and displays were dynamic. You can't come away from a visit here without realizing the sacrifice our military has endured from injuries to the ultimate sacrifice. I highly recommend a visit to this location if you are in the area.
Great museum with a lot of information and very helpful staff.
In depth history and excellent research of America's Purple Heart award. Numerous interactive displays of personal stories of Purple Heart recipants. Staff very friendly and willing to answer any questions. Free to enter with only a donation box at the exit. The grounds are staffed with reenactors also very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. Must see history excursion if anywhere in the area.
Both the Purple Heart Veterans put their pictures & story onto this database. Our friend entered his Uncle’s information as well. This museum also shares grounds with the last encampment camp for the American Revolutionary War
Beautiful museum and grounds with many interesting displays of military uniforms, equipment, etc. throughout US history.
The team that hosted the July 4th celebrations we're amazing!! We relocated from Texas and to have our first Independence Day celebration with such great guides, could not have been more Wonderful. Truly remarkable experience all Americans must experience with their families. The expertise with the artillery and Marching is paired so well with charismatic guides, diving into a part of our history better than any story teller you've sat in front of. We will be back and with more family !
A very nice memorial and museum explaining not only the history of the Purple Heart but also the thoughts and feelings of those that have received it. I think the saying "Available To All, Desired By None" perfectly sums up their feelings.
