We wish we were writing a glowing review of this inn but unfortunately our experience was less than anticipated. Based on the what we saw on Trip Advisor and on the inn’s Instagram page, we anticipated a stay in a lovely B&B in the Napa Valley with enticing gardens and relaxing spaces with beauty all around. We arrived to find a basically charming house but on entry to the property, there was a dirty minivan with flat tires and a barrier fence in the parking area in disrepair. The country farm house was charming but in need of spring cleaning to remove the vestiges of winter weather and cobwebs. The interior French country decor was lovely but in the kitchen and eating areas there was a greasy, sticky film over several of the decorative glass items, the adorable white teapots on the mantle in the bay window breakfast nook adjacent to the kitchen and even on the TV remotes in the dining, community area. ||The grounds must have been beautiful at first spring but in June we found them unkempt, rose bushes untended and garden beds overgrown with weeds. It was a disappointment to us because part of our objective was to relax and decompress in the gardens. Only one modest patch of the organic vegetable garden was newly planted and thriving though needed weeding also. ||Their site boasts of farm fresh eggs and organically grown farm to table vegetables and fruit. No chickens were found and the coop on the property was in disrepair and full of weeds. The breakfast was a vegetable, sausage and potato frittata served with some mulberries from their tree and other fruit. (Hopefully, locally sourced organic?). It was too early for fruit from their many fruit trees. It was accompanied by day old+ baked items brought from the bakery they own in the Bay Area where they spend half of their time. ||It wasn’t a good value to us at almost $600 per night given our goal of a relaxing, visually enriching weekend in the wine country. We could be considered the one off contrarians given the previous positive reviews and it’s not lost on us that the owners could just be going through a rough patch but decided to post for those needing to take care in the their investment of time, intent and money.

I am remiss in writing this so far after our time spent at Napa Farmhouse Inn, but want to start by saying our time there was nothing short of wonderful. We stayed from Sept 6-Sept 9, 2023, and Mimi and Ed were attentive and personable hosts. Each morning we chit chatted with Mimi as she cooked us a cast iron frittata, using sausage and fresh vegetables from her garden. There was also fresh cantaloupe and 2-3 massive pastries from their bakery provided, as well as some of the most delicious hot tea I have ever had. Our room was on the first floor right off the kitchen, with our own personal bathroom. Noise was never an issue, and both Mimi and Ed indicated any fruit left out in the kitchen was for the taking. Mimi also encouraged us to explore her garden and the grounds of the farmhouse, which were serene and sublime after a long day of visiting wineries. Please enjoy a stay at Napa Farmhouse Inn, as we did!

An oasis of calm, surrounded by fragrant roses, citrus, and so many colors of green. The NapaFarmhouse is welcoming and generous in its amenities. The beds are super cozy with soft linens and a bounty of pillows. The house is beautifully appointed with big sofas, lots of nooks and seating areas, with a large porch to enjoy the views and Napa weather. Breakfast was amazing! Mimi Brown made skillet omelettes with veggies and chicken sausage that were delicious….not to mention the homemade bread and jam alongside fresh picked fruits from the garden. I thought mulberries were only in a song! The most magical thing about the Farmhouse is the countless amount of roses, foxglove, lavender, vegetables and varietals beyond what you could imagine a few acres could hold. With all that said, if you are looking for a modern white and gray with sleek steel everywhere- don’t come here! This is a home sweet homey kind of vibe and for those who appreciate a more eclectic style.

Gorgeous property and the owners and staff are friendly and professional. Mimi is warm and welcoming and makes a delicious breakfast that you can eat in the dining room or on the back porch overlooking their garden, wineries nextdoor, and the hills to the west. Rooms are utilitarian, but luxurious where it matters, like super comfy beds. Also in the perfect location between cute downtown St. Helena and Yountville, with excellent wineries literally steps away.

An ideal location and a wonderful ambiance for a Mother-Daughter weekend in Napa. The host is a chef so you will enjoy a beautiful, French-inspired breakfast/brunch. The details of the farmhouse are artfully appointed but it is neither pretentious or stuffy - we felt at home immediately and loved the outdoor spaces - gardens, little paths and a beautiful veranda for an outdoor supper. Highly recommend.

This is our favorite place to stay in St. Helena/Napa. We've been coming here for the last 4, almost 5 years. If you're into the rustic French cottage aesthetic, you've come to the right place. My hubby and I actually got engaged here, believe it or not. We had just checked into our usual room that we always request when we stay there and after a whole day of drinking, he whips out my ring pop from his luggage and the rest is history. The couple who run the place are super nice. Mimi, the wife, is a character and an excellent cook. We always ask for the full breakfast and she spoils us with all of her homemade goodies. We love taking a stroll in the gardens after breakfast and saying hi to the chickens who gave us such yummy eggs for our meal. We also order a produce box from them once in a while and they always vary from season to season. This B&B is such a gem, it holds such lovely memories for us.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Napa Farmhouse Inn for our few days in Napa, and can not recommend it enough! Mimi and Ed are kind, welcoming and accommodating. Mimi prepared an incredible breakfast daily with fresh ingredients from the garden. We made sure to walk the beautiful gardens and see the care they put into it. Mimi also gave us great recommendations on how to make the most of our stay in Napa. Ed provided us text updates and responded to our messages and requests so quickly. The property is beautiful and in a perfect location in St Helena to explore all the best wineries. Ed and Mimi truly care about their guests, and we hope to return soon!

We love bed and breakfast inns and stay in them as much as possible when traveling. We had high hopes for this property given the good reviews and were spending the weekend in Napa for a wedding. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! My husband has lung disease and is very sensitive to air quality. I explained this to Ed when I made the reservation. Ed, the inn keeper told us he would not be able to greet us and gave us the details of how to enter our room. Unfortunately, upon entering Room No. 3 in the main house, it smelled very musty! The room did not feel or was clean! We spent the night because it was late and could not move to another hotel until the next day. My husband coughed all night. Do no wear white socks because the carpet is filthy, and my slippers stuck to the bathroom floor when I walked on it. Disgusting! We ventured to the kitchen area and opened the refrigerator which was dirty inside. We could not imagine having breakfast at the Inn in the morning. I spoke to Ed in the morning and explained that we had to leave. I asked for our payment to be refunded, but he told me the policy was only to return 50%. I certainly would not have dealt with the situation that way. A most unfortunate experience!!!

The service was outstanding. This place is a family owned restaurant and you can feel that from start to end. Osvaldo was an excellent server. The risotto croquets was my favorite dish.

Big bowls and a sprawling street course with tight trannies nestled in an idyllic spot in wine country. This place is paradise and almost always empty. The quarters have flatbar coping, which is incredibly annoying, but otherwise this it's perfect.
