Nantucket Inn - Featured Reviews (195)
After a flawless stay at the Nantucket Inn one year ago, we returned with high hopes and were gravely disappointed. When we booked our stay several months ago, we were not made aware of the plethora of renovations being done all at once, leaving the Inn unable to offer several amenities that were still accounted for in the room rates.||The “continental breakfast” consisted of a table, monitored by 2-3 staff members watching you peruse a selection of what I can only imagine to be gas station muffins, single serving boxed cereals, and apples, oranges and overripe bananas. Good luck if you have any type of allergy, they will offer you nothing. This lacklustre spread did not include coffee, however the rooms were outfitted with Keurig-like machines, and if you asked, the housekeeping staff would replenish your K-cups. ||Our room was newly renovated which was a nice feature, however our bathroom was full of tiny ants. We made staff aware, and despite them attending our room 2-3 hours after this discovery, we continued to have little visitors in our bathroom the entirety of the 5 night stay.||The bar, restaurant (which provided a full hot breakfast last year), gym and indoor pool were simultaneously unavailable due to renovations, leaving you with virtually nothing to do at an Inn where you are paying $400+ on a weeknight, and $500+ on a weekend.||The complimentary shuttle from the Inn was nice, as it takes you into town and returns you, each hour. After 6pm, it increases its rounds to twice an hour. It will also take you to the beach. This is really a positive feature to the Inn. ||We expressed multiple concerns to the staff at the Inn, however they did nothing to atone for the lack of amenities and ultimately poor experience of the stay. We are not negative people, as we left a glowing review of the Inn last year. And while at the beautiful pool, we spoke with other guests who shared similar frustrations. ||I would not recommend the Nantucket Inn, and would urge anyone to splurge a little and stay anywhere else.
Nantucket Inn is great! Staff gave us a complimentary upgrade to a "King Cottage" for our Anniversary. It was an amazingly adorable cottage and would be worth paying extra for. It has a wood burning stove and was very romantic. Clean, white linens and very comfortable bed with tons of pillows. We slept amazing. Shower and bathroom were very clean and nice. Big TV that can tilt to watch in bed. We loved the room and wish we stayed longer!||The garden area was beautiful and relaxing. We saw deer in the area a couple of times. The hotel was going through some renovations, but it was totally fine and not a big deal at all. Everything has fresh paint and decorated very well. ||The gym was nice and clean. The breakfast wasn't huge, but it was good and did the trick. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful the few times we needed help. They have a shuttle that will take you to town and also pick you up from town. The shuttle drivers were very nice as well. We loved our stay at Nantucket Inn!!
Nice hotel, but we booked with JetBlue vacations for a better rate after the management denied us a returning customer loyalty discount. We have been staying at The Inn every year for 10 yrs snd the previous management offered us a discount twice as we are also senior citizens. The staff is wonderful. The renovations look great. It would have been nice to know the restaurant was closed and no alcohol or hot coffee was available at the bar lobby or at the pool.
Liked The Out of Town location. STAFF WAS AWESOME. Only negative is it is located Next to the Airport. They are currently updating the Hotel but our room was fine and one of the updated rooms. Pool and Hot Tub closed a little early for Summer. Should stay open Until At Least 8 pm. Continental Breakfast was OK but Only cold Brew offered,Hot Coffee would of been better.Shuttle was nice for Downtown and Surfside Beach and Driver was awesome.
Spacious clean room with a comfortable bed and bedding. The shuttle into town was great. And the staff was friendly and helpful. If I ever get back to Nantucket I would stay there again. I didn't feel like I was missing anything despite not being in the heart of town.
We had a fantastic experience here. I was worried after reviews I read online but the complaints were a little ridiculous. Yes the hotel is undergoing major reconstruction, the indoor pool and restaurant is closed but we were happy with the breakfast spread of fruit, cereal, etc (organic milk and high quality cold brew coffee) . The staff is extremely hard working and friendly and the front desk offers free waters and snacks 24 hours (there's also a convenience store across the street and the crosswind's restaurant at the airport). The shuttle runs like clockwork and the drivers, especially Danny are great. The rooms are immaculate and modern, clean and comfortable. The pool area is peaceful and they are literally cleaning the pool and hot tub every time a leaf falls into the water. Bring your own towels for the beach, they don't offer those or chairs but you can rent chairs at surf side beach. Also if you are dropped off mid island at night (highly recommend, it's calmer than town and has the restaurants that the locals go to) there is a huge chance you won't get picked up on the way back. I would stay here again, $1400 for 5 days in august beats dropping $6,000 at a resort in town any day!
The continental breakfast was not very extensive. Also booked a couple of months in advance and rates the week we checked in we're 1/2 the price and they were not willing to match the lower rate, so beware. At least they had s shuttle to do drop off/ pickup in town. However one of shuttle drivers was not friendly and never spoke to passengers/guests. Front desk staff was friendly.
If the rooms were a third of the price I might stay there again. It was 800 bucks a night, barely a continental breakfast and they didn't even have hot coffee with it. The rooms were OK but definitely need to be updated. The staff on the other hand was wonderful. The best things about this place are it's proximity to the airport and the shuttle they run. DO NOT STAY ON THE FIRST FLOOR. The floor in the room above mine was beyond noisy and I barely slept the whole time I was there.
I can't say enough good things about the Barnacle Inn. I planned a getaway trip for the end of Sept, just the two of us without our young toddlers, for my husband's 40th birthday and stayed here Monday through Friday. We had SUCH an amazing time, all
This was our third time staying at the hotel, always in late December right before Christmas to enjoy the decorations and festivities. The staff is top notch, from the shuttle drivers, front desk staff, housekeepers and breakfast servers. We enjoyed
Lemon Press is a charming, little cafe/eatery located on Main Street on Nantucket. You can grab a lite and tasty breakfast and a great cup of coffee. Itâs a local favorite. I had the lox on an everything bagel. It was yummy and fresh. Itâs has a
Really enjoyed Downyflake Restaurant! The food was fresh and delicious. The pastries and donuts were delicious! The staff was friendly and service very good. Nice atmosphere to enjoy a cup of coffee and good food. Enjoy!
Amazing. Arguably best lobster roll Iâve ever had. Fried onions and pickle pairing was amazing. The crab and Gouda dip was without a doubt the best dip Iâve had. It is a must. The bone marrowâ wow. The lobster Mac and cheeseâ wow. And sit
So I went to the box and was greeted by a fresh faced addition to the team. Kim was her name. What a pleasure. Not only did she handle a full bar with ease, but also was super attentive to me and my friends needs. And to top it off she also spoke my
We had a great lunch here & were able to sit outside on a super pretty day. Our waiter was good & food service was fast. We had the warm lobster roll, side of Mac & cheese (itâs large!) and fried calamari (smaller serving but was delicious!). Every
Sand Bar is the ideal beachside hangout! After a day soaking up the sun nearby, it was the perfect spot to unwind. With its airy deck and the gentle sounds of the ocean in the background, the ambiance is refreshingly relaxed. Their New England seafoo
