Casual dining area with plenty of indoor and a couple of outdoor seating.
Walked in and was greeted by two friendly people (likely the owners).
I ordered the cajun fried catfish sandwich ($10.16) which is their best seller. Very good! I Fresh fried catfish that is not too oily. I would get it again, perhaps at least once a week if I lived in the area.

Tried the catfish nugget plate and it was the best fish in the city so far that I’ve had! Full of flavor and the fires were seasoned very well!! Honestly didn’t care too much for the lil side of slaw but that wasn’t a deal breaker for me
We stopped in while in the area and tried out their waffles. We were hoping for breakfast but just missed the time as they had started lunch. The waffles were amazing, and could be ordered in the restaurant or at the connected shop next door which was the actual waffle shop. The banana pudding cheesecake was delicious, not too much cheesecake, but that didn't take away from it in the least. The monte cristo waffle was great, and equally satisfying! The shop was a bit eclectic, you could see there was a story there, and the rest of the shop seemed a bit unfinished. I'm no stranger to eclectic shops however, and their food is great, so it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!
Passing through Danville on the way from Greensboro to Tidewater, we wanted a lunch experience that would feel like it gave us a window into the community. Nana Karen's feels like just that kind of place. My Cajun Catfish sandwich was delicious and huge. And my wife loved her catfish bites. The atmosphere is laid back. The place is perfect for lunch. And the service is friendly. Highly recommended. Parking can be a bit of an issue, since it's limited to on street parking, but we enjoyed a quick walk around a couple of blocks downtown.
We are new to the area and found Nana Karen's on Main on Google maps. Its been the main spot i wanted to try since we moved. We got the blackberry pancakes and the breakfast burrito and let me just say both were delicious. If your indecisive just get the pancakes! They are sweet and the toppings with the blackberries add just enough tart to the whole thing. The food was prompt and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back again.
We are visiting from out of town and I am a huge fan of eating local when we travel. Being in the industry myself, I can always tell by the first person I speak to what kind of experience I am about to have. This place blew my socks off. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very laid back but the best part was the family unit running the show. I felt like I was welcomed into their home for an amazing lunch and that is a dining experience that is few and far between these days. Thank you for such a wonderful lunch and I will be seeing y'all again very soon!
An awesome hidden gem of a diner! My family and I ate breakfast and ordered Sourdough French Bread, side of corned beef hash and a corned beef hash omelet. It wasn't very busy so we got our order quick. WELL WORTH THE $$ WE SPENT! For the same price at a "chain" joint, we received down home cooking food and plenty of it! We will definitely be back to try other items on their restaurant's menu! When you order breakfast, you get a nice little boat of fresh fruit for free! That was a pleasant surprise!

This was our 1st time dining at Culture. The food was very impressive. I had the Catfish and it was seasoned to perfection. If you've never tried Culture Restaurant you should give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
