Wonderful little spot hidden in the neighborhood. Safe, clean, and very beautiful interior. Service was excellent. The host and waiter were very attentive and polite. The menu is smaller and lacked options in my opinion. The meals also don’t come with any sides so you have to order additionally if you want. They are gluten friendly but not completely gluten free (also lacked options in this space). Over all it’s a good place to go and would recommend it for lighter eaters.
This restaurant was one of the best dining experiences I've enjoyed. The Zen inspired outdoor patio set the mood for a wonderful relaxing date night. The service we received from Sophie was top tier. She was the perfect combination of helpful and attentive and friendly. Can't say enough about how much she added to the evening. And then there's the food! Absolutely the best meal I've had in Louisville this year! And probably the healthiest options you'll find anywhere. We started with the mushroom sliders (one with a garlic toasted GF bun) and WOW! Loaded with so much flavor. I ordered the chicken yakitori with a side of General Tso's cauliflower. The chicken was tender and savory. The cauliflower had some sweetness to it and was absolutely mouth watering. My date had the Tuscan Kale Salad with salmon. He was equally impressed. We both indulged in some of the crafted cocktail offerings. Between the two of us we had the following: Berry Funky Collins, Butchertown Southside and Beet Margaritas. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but probably would say the gin Butchertown Southside was the most refreshing. We almost never get dessert but since we were on a roll, ordered the Chia Parsnip Cake. It's GF and like everything else at Naive was delicious! I was over the moon with this experience. Thanks Naive for making the drive from Etown worth it. I will be back!
This was my first time dining here. It was the day after Labor Day. We were the only people in the restaurant. The service was excellent, very helpful and friendly. We ordered two items off the menu and then a few minutes later the server came back to tell us that those two items were not available. The soba noodles were not seasoned properly. You can use more miso to add body to the dish. Very plain dish. The cauliflower appetizer was very bland. The sauce to go with it was more like a ponzu sauce and didn't help make it any better The fries are from a bag and they were all frozen together top it off. A place like this you would expect them to make their own fries. Having a front of the house line up with management to discuss what's available from the kitchen is key, BEFORE you open your doors. That way the servers know what is on the 86 list and they can inform the customers before they get their hopes up only for the server to eat crow afterwards. Overall it is a nice place but the food needs some work.
This place is beautiful on the inside, such a calm and relaxing presence. It is full of light. Service was also really amazing as well fast. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu. It's important to note, that I went for burger week. I had the beet margarita and the lychee cocktail, both were fine. The beet margarita tends to be the sweetest on the menu, but it is not sweet in my opinion. But please know it has a nice depth in flavor and the beets shine through. If you like spirit forward cocktails, then you will enjoy them, but if you like an overly sweet drink, then I don't think their cocktail menu is for you. The burger and fries were really delicious and the sauces were so yummy. Their seasoning tends to run a little simpler in my opinion, so my palette craved more. I would still get it on the regular full priced menu. I had both the cake and brownie dessert options. The brownie almost had a fudge texture, the chocolate is a very natural flavor, so it may not be for everyone. As for the cake, I only really liked the chocolate Ganache topping and found the cake to be overly firm for me. I would not get it again.
My vegetarian daughter found this gem of a restaurant to celebrate her 18th birthday! The menu choices for the vegetarian and vegan tasting menus were much appreciated and seasonal. The Omnivore tasting menu was lacking but the chai parsnip cake actually made me smile!! The sweet potato coconut soup and the pumpkin linguini were the highlights of the Vegetarian course. Vegan menu Acorn squash course won the evening in everyone’s opinion. Overall our waitress was attentive and friendly. The front door closed slowly and allowed cold air to rush in too long. But overall, will return for each season’s offerings! Thank you for a wonderful evening and an excellent meal. The Lirac wine offering was fantastic, and was exactly what I was looking for! Rhone Valley can’t be beat! And my wife was a big fan of the Beet Margarita! Who knew!
I’ve NEVER left a review before, but the food here was so BAD that I had to let other people know. I paid $21 for maybe 3 oz of pasta- that was cold & not enough to fill a mouse. Tried their vegan brownie and spit it out 😂 I’m not picky & I love food, but seriously do not waste your time here.
We were the first people in the restaurant with a 5 pm reservation. It took about 20 minutes for our table to receive 3 cans of High Noons after being told the flavors we picked were not available. We ordered the sour dough and general Tao cauliflower. The appetizers were the highlight of the night. After an extended wait we received our entrees. 2 people ordered black bean burgers, 1 ordered salmon crudo, 1 ordered chicken yakitori. The burgers were very dry and unseasoned and the avocado on one still had the skin on it. When we asked for condiments, they asked us to check under the bun on the burgers in front of a server to prove we had no condiments, and it took 20 minutes to be told that they did not have mustard as an option. The salmon was not prepared well. The pieces were not completely cut through and appeared to just be thrown onto a plate. At first the chicken appeared to be the only dish that was acceptable. I am now writing this review solely because my friend who ate the chicken is throwing up her meal in the bathroom 6 hours later which is typical for salmonella poisoning. There were other issues as well but those are not as important now. The owner tried to make it up to us with free drinks. That would have stopped us from leaving this review but now we are concerned for the safety of others dining here.
My daughter clearly told the waitress who asked about allergies she is allergic to tomato and gluten. She was told she could have the breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread. One bite into it she realizes it has a tomato pesto and the pork patty was completely raw. Bright pink pork throughout. 30 minutes throwing up in the bathroom and the waitress tells us she will take the sandwich off our bill. Great. For a restaurant that claims allergy friendly I didn’t get that vibe. Did enjoy the cauliflower and lavender tea before spending the rest of the morning in the bathroom

The Fat Lamb is an absolute gem! If you go to one restaurant in Louisville, make it The Fat Lamb. The cocktails, wine and food are terrific across the board. Talk to Joe or Dane at the bar and they will steer you to what works for you every time. And
I honestly donât know if there is a lunch place that comes close or compares to The Cheddar Box! This has been a favorite local lunch spot for a long time and it deserves more than 5 stars! Iâm not sure what their secret recipe is, but the food i
Fun place with good food. I also must give them kudos for not overcharging for their drinks/ beer. 5-7 bucks for a beer in a mid level steak house is more than reasonable. We brought my mother in to celebrate her 78 birthday and they brought her out
