Mystic Rogue Irish pub and restaurant - Irish pub in Chicago - 6070 N Northwest Hwy, USA

My wife and I got two simple dinners, Chicken Fingers and Fries, and Bangers and Mash. We expected them to be good, but they were both even better than we expected. The chicken fingers were super crunchy on the outside, yet still moist on the inside, the fries were really good, and the beef mushroom gravy that came with the Bangers and Mash was very tasty. The Bangers and the Mash were both pretty good, too. Service was friendly and efficient. We'll be back.

I found this place on Yelp when we wanted a festive restaurant. It did not disappoint. The waitress was sweet and attentive, the food about what you'd expect at an Irish pub, and the live Irish Gallagher singers made our cold Harp and Guinness draft beers go down that much smoother. It is a very warm atmosphere, a great place to spend time with friends. So good, in fact, that I booked our party of 27 for the day after Thanksgiving here. The manager calls me four days before the event and tells me his party of 75 now wants more space, so he's kicking us out. So unprofessional. He should have simply said no to them, that the bar was full.

My gf ordered the Irish stew and loved it. But, this review is about the POOR EXCUSE for a BLT sandwich that I ordered. The sandwich was mostly bread with two slices of cold nasty bacon that seemed like it was cooked a day before... extremely measly! The slice of tomato was about an 1/8th thick at best...shincey. If you enjoy a mouthful of white bread and nasty old cold fatty bacon give em a go. Diners beware!! I should have drop kicked it back to the Rogue kitchen! To the management. Why the hell can't you make a simple BLT sandwich as robust as your Irish Stew. C'MON!!!!

We had great service however, the last few times I’ve been there from someone who gets headaches easily, I’ve felt like the lighting around the bar was very bright even asked about dimming and was told sometimes they do. This last time I was in they closed the bar at 11:30. I noticed they bar and restaurant area still had 10 people around the bar and 3 at a table and as we were walking out they had another person to come in for drinks. I just thought they closed pretty early considering bar time is 2am.

We had our annual ladies Christmas tea party last friday night at the Mystic Rogue and it was a phenomenal experience. The atmosphere and ambiance was exceptional! We had over 35 people to cater for and the service and food were both beyond excellent. I would highly recommend for private parties. They go above and beyond!

We are so happy to have this new Irish gem in the neighborhood. The food is great, had the Reuben, wings and Irish Stew all were fantastic, the stew might look better in a bowl though. The staff was welcoming and attentive, I believe we were served by Debbie. Keep up the great work and we can't wait to get back and try everything else on your menu.

I liked the service, and it had a nice feel going in, but everything was bland, even for Irish food. Corned Beef was flavorless and needed salt. Horseradish lacked any taste whatsoever. I can see having a pint or two and watching sports, but the food was disappointing.

Nice Irish bar with good food and a pleasant atmosphere. Decent beer selection including some craft beer.
