I've stayed at the Gateway cottages twice before. Each stay was better than the last. Last weekend was awesome. The house was very clean and full of upgrades, including key cards. (I lost the keys during both of my previous stays) If I had to complain about something: it is that the couch was a little low and saggy it didn't look too shabby though. The great room was bright and airy and the a 60" flat screen went over well. I also enjoyed the tv in the master and the bedding in the other 2 rooms was very nice. The 1200 sqft of space was excellent for my family to spread out. The furnishings were modern and homey, there were plenty of extra clean linens, and the bathrooms were bright and white as well. The full laundry was great too. We did cook out since they provided a grill. The cooler and patio furniture was a thoughtful addition. It was the best 95 bucks I have spent in a long time! My kid had a great time playing at the playground and the other families were nice. We had a wonderful weekend. I will definitely rent again!
I recently stayed there twice, the second time only because of their non-refundable policy. These cottages leave a lot to be desired! They are old and not well maintained and and not clean! Being old is no excuse. The oven was disgusting,it hadn't been cleaned in ages. There was food baked on they oven tray, and it smelled. (2nd stay) There are signs posted in the kitchen which read, " 'Caution' valued cottage guest - please be aware that pest control is currently treating your cottage for rodents. There are traps and other various extermination methods in use." This caution comes with a picture of a mousetrap. Great news! Valued cottage guest beware! For the price you pay, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
Booked these in advance for my family to stay but things changed and even though 7 days out the cancellation policy is 25% or 1 full night, so 25% is the cheaper of the two so I got charged 1 full night for two cabins. Other post on trip advisor showed negative reviews and ended up being cheaper to stay in a nice hotel with breakfast. ||The agent literally hung up on me before I was finished talking. will also be submitting a better business bureau complaint.
Really great dive bar in the middle of nowhere! Karaoke is always fun here, I highly recommend it, can be smokey so if that bothers you might not be the place for you. They have 2 pool tables, darts and others games as well. Nice fire pit out back
I love the staff here so much!!! Their doughnuts are always fresh and their food is always fresh to order!!!!! Worth the drive from where I live for sure :) wish I could go there every morning, but I definitely start soon!!
