This is a must for breakfast. I always order the salmon and roe musubi. I know everyone comes here for the spam but these triangle goodness is the best. The line does get quite long as sometimes it takes 25-35 mins to get your food. But you know it worth the wait eating these fresh!
Not a lot of room to dine in but the best cafe to stop by for some super-sized musubi! These things were huge and there were a ton of selection! I would personally prefer less rice but overall, a must try!
We were so happy to find this cute little place for a snack with friendly service, delicious musubi, and an adorable gift shop area to browse while you wait for your fresh musubi! We also are huge cheesecake fans and decided to try theirs (kinda hidden in the little beverage cooler) and were SO impressed- it was so smooth and some of the best we’ve ever had!!
This place was the best food I had during my visit to Honolulu. Waited 30 mins for the food but it was well worth it. Buy more than you think because it’s so good you will appreciate over buying. We ate the classic spam and egg musubi, unagi, avocado egg bacon and tuna and salmon rice balls. All very good.
It's tasty, but be prepared for a massive queue. I waited 25 minutes to place an order and another 35 to get it. No ingredient customization during ordering; all dishes are pre-made, so they're not very fresh. If you have allergies to any ingredient, you can't exclude it from the dish! Limited space, and the entire wait is right by the roadside. Suitable only for true Japanese fast food enthusiasts.
Spam musubi lover heaven. Not only do they offer a battery variety of musubi but also offer a wide selection of merchandise highlighting none other than spam musubi. The musubi was delicious. Don't expect a place to sit and enjoy. There is no where to sit other than outside on a garden ledge. Came during a night time rush hour and it was very crowded inside. This is more like a quick takeout.
I enjoyed their spam and kimchi musubi, not much of a fan of their eel and avocado musubi. You can order your food online so you can skip the line. I was shopping while waiting for my food. I recommend walking to this store.
It’s exactly what you would expect from a spam musubi…what sets this place apart is the freshness. Everything feels and taste freshly made. Cute store inside with trinkets and tote bags. It’s right across Maguro spot for good poke!

A great blend of traditional and hip, serving a really unique menu of Japanese delicacies. Suggest the mac nut tofu and their signature rekkon cheese (Japanese style mini pizza) appetizers to start. The sushi selection is of highest quality. Save ro
Hands down best sushi in Hawaii. Gaku was recommended to us by our scuba diving instructor who is a Japanese sushi chef before moving to Hawaii. Every piece of sushi is prepared so delicately and skillfully. Each cut of the fish is so precise and fin
Located in the center of the university area. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The portion sizes are huge. The menu has variety, but not at all overwhelming. I love this place. I will definitely return. PS love the hot house sake to wa
Came here to try their new Uni Special Course dinner. We were happy to taste all the different dishes that were well prepared and the serving size was perfect.
I was very impressed with Gyotaku. To start, the salad was a really delicious surprise with a much appreciated imitation crab piece. For the entree, the steak was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. It came with tempura as a combo, which was a fan
They renovated not so long ago. The space is even bigger and not overwhelming like the old space. The interior made me feel like home and very refreshing. The food is still as fresh and tasty ever since. Aunty gave me a fresh banana (so kind and frie
Worth the visit! The fruit punch was delicious and we loved the crispy pork gyoza. The tonpeiyaki (pork omelette) was also awesome. It was also entertaining to watch the chef cook it in front of us and have him immediately serve our food hot. Beca
You know its a good Japanese restaurant when most of the patrons are Japanese speakers. The price is decent and this place satisfy my ikura/uni cravings. Most of the meals comes with both a rice and soba combo. Also, this is the first time I tried
Shoot was - as expected - amazing. Stunning mastery of technique, patter, and showmanship. Hilarious sense of humour, was great at working the crowd and had a lot of warmth and heart incorporated into his performance, and the story he told throughout
I have been searching and searching for great biscuits and gravy like I used to get back in Texas, and OMG these were so so so so much better than that. Did something different and went with the chicken biscuits and gravy and was happily surprised at
