MCC just took $249.48 from my boyfriends bank account for “Basketball” and he doesnt even play sports, you guys need to get you finance area in check, cuz this is not right at all. He had no intention of joining any sports because he is not coming back next semester for personal reasons. They are stealing money from broke people for no reason, and this needs to be fixxed.

I went for a walk on the 1/8th mile trail, over the 4 mile creek. There is dirt and wooden bridge. It brings you up to the college itself which has sucker's in the water you can feed if you bring some bread. Secluded. I park behind the college off Marquette road. Nice short walk if you don't have much time. No lights, so do it before dark.
I graduated in 2013. I drove from Grand Rapids everyday because I liked the more laid back atmosphere that MCC offered over GRCC. Free and easy parking was definitely a bonus as well. I found all the faculty to be great. All my instructors really liked what they did and were joy to see everyday.
Took my kids and friends to the planetarium. It was a great. We got a group together and they scheduled us in. It was free and enjoyable.
My wife was interested in attending the nursing program at MCC. We met with a counselor twice. She told us she wasn’t a nursing counselor, but she was going to try and help us. It was quite disappointing as we were given no information about tuition (in area or out of area credit cost), options for student loans or any idea of preparation.
She wasn’t listening to understand but to respond. My wife has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, so certain classes she has already taken and doesn’t need to take again. She kept going back to scheduling those classes.
My wife left a message for the counsel specialized in the nursing program the day after the first appointment, two weeks later, still no call back. I called three times today and was promised a call back. Needless to say, still nothing.
When my wife on her second visit stopped in the Financial Aid office, they advised my wife it would be about three weeks before they could review it. They also didn’t give any information or made sure my wife had the correct papers filled out.
And what really astonished me is that the person who sets up the CIS test part two is on vacation with no back up person.
It just feels unorganized and unprepared and fairly uninterested in helping. I would assume they are the experts and they know what papers need to be submitted, etc. As counselors and advisors, I would expect they would check to make sure all the (correct) papers are submitted. It’s a disappointing experience.
No joke, probably the best public bathrooms I have ever seen or used. Whoever is A. In charge of keeping them clean and B. Orders that fantastic absorbent paper towel should get a raise.
One of the top 5 community colleges in Michigan. MCC is a great school with a damn good wrestling program, one of the best nursing programs and a great automotive program, and an awesome faculty. Also, MCC' low cost makes it one of the best 2 yrs schools to knock out your gen ed courses before going on to university.
Yo this place is awesome. They welcome everyone with open arms. The instructors have great attitudes towards the sport, all the students are great people to work with. If you are a beginner or an expert you must come to this school!!
