Celebrating its 100th anniversary, the Muscoot Tavern is still alive and kicking in the kitchen. A visit here quickly reveals why this tavern has endured a century. The low ceilings, white twinkle lights, and cozy atmosphere are most welcoming. The menu is full of comfort food favorites, including big juicy burgers, flavorful homemade pasta, a creative variety of thin crust pizzas, fresh seafood, and much more. The desserts look mighty tasty, too. There is a nice size bar and heated outdoor dining available. The kitchen closes between 8:30-9:15, so plan accordingly.

Casual atmosphere with a nice/diverse menu. Service was friendly though slow. I thought the Muscoot soup was average (others got the Clam Chowder & said it was very good). Ribs were below average with not a lot of meat. My buddy got a burger and said it was just OK. One of our group got a salad w/ lobster/seafood and said it was delicious. Overall, a nice dining experience but nothing special.

First time at this nice neighborhood tavern. Very laid back, cozy atmosphere, although small and loud with conversation. We ordered the baked clams, cheese fries, turkey burger, eggplant and brownie with ice cream. The portions are large and my burger was hefty. Our entrees were a bit too salty, but ok. My cousin hardly ate any of it. I couldn't taste the cranberries on my burger. Our server said something about others saying it's too tart. Well, go all the way or go home! LOL. My burger needed more than salt for flavoring. I had to drain my lettuce also before putting it on my burger. That said, they use quality ingredients and the food comes out hot and fast! We will definitely come back!

Went for pizza on Friday night, but they were not making any, maybe oven issues. Got burgers, wings, calamari and some other stuff. Lots more fried hot peppers in the calamari than normal. Burger was very good. Best to go when it is not crowded. Stop calculating tip on tax on your bills. TAX is not a service. Otherwise good.

Food and service were excellent. Prices fair, portions were good and the 1925 atmosphere earns it a 5th star. It’s certainly a one-of-a-kind restaurant that makes it a great dining experience for me. Would recommend without hesitation.

Cute little roadside eatery with plenty of outdoor seating (limited indoor). Can’t wait to try more on the menu, the fries were perfection and wings are pretty good too! Service very attentive and quick :)

Ate the Hungarian Pizza Goat cheese, caramelized onions, dried cranberries, extra virgin olive oil honey, dash of cumin. This pizza was so good 😁🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

The only difference between Cross River Reservoir and Croton Gorge Dam is that spillover doesn't have steps, and it doesn't provide access to see the view of spillover. I wish DEP allows access at the bottom where excessive water falls in the creek b
