Munson Creek Falls State Park - State park in Tillamook - Munson Cr, Rd, 6400-6200 Munson Creek Rd, USA

It was a gorgeous fall hike. It was wet do we wanted to get out in nature without going too far. It's only a quarter mile in on a mostly gravel like trail with just a few muddy spots we could maneuver around. You come to an opening and you are met with a gorgeous waterfall. The leaves were spectacular as well. Perfect, short hike with great reward.

After hiking only 1/4 mile along Munson Creek, you arrive at a place to see the waterfall, still at a distance. The trail ends at a large log jam, but you get a good view of this tall waterfall. We went on January 31, and there was ice on the sides of the fall and here and there along the sides of the trail. The path is well maintained and quite close to the creek. The road to the trailhead has potholes, and Google seemed to be taking us to the top of the falls at the east end of the park in a long circuitous route. Maybe there is another trailhead up there. But on that pitted road we wanted the shortest route. You can use Google to show you where Munson road is, and that’s where you turn East from Hwy 101. Then, follow the signs for the Oregon State Natural Site. Just as you near the State Natural Site (green area on Google maps) there is a Y in the road, and Google says to keep left to drive around the park, but a sign points right to get to the site. Follow that sign to the right. The hike was lovely; I only wish it were longer.

Nice, short hike along the creek with a bit incline near the end of the trail. The waterfall has an impressive height, but the trail is blocked/stopped before you reach the foot of the fall. Parking is small and people do not seem to take long here--maybe 30 min. Makes for a great extra stop if in the area. There are no benches, picnic tables, or restrooms.

Mostly easy walk. Disappointed trail ends before tangle of fallen trees. You have to climb over around to get close enough to see the falls. If you climb it's beautiful

A short walk with a few steep areas along side Munson Creek brings you to an amazing waterfall. If it is wet wear good shoes it can be a little slippery.

Stunning waterfalls. I highly recommend going early. I went on new years day (830am). It took about 20 minutes to complete. By the time I got back to the parking lot it was full.

It's a very short walk to the falls along the creek. The trail ends but clearly folks have ventured beyond because the trail doesn't really end 😉. I would say it's worth the stop of it's on your way somewhere, but don't go out of your way.

Road in is narrow and rough. Falls view area is a little ways away.
