Low frills service on wax paper presents you with a classic, foot-long chili dog. The chili is better than expected and the shun the plastic pump cheese in favor of cheddar shreds. Step up to the counter and your late night gluttony will begin in mere minutes. Stay out late and find a face full of bad decisions for only $7. Cheese and jalapeños are $0.50 extra. Self-loathing is free. I have no regrets.
Classic! Basically a Time machine that makes chili dogs
The footlong hotdog I had was with chili, onion, and Jalapeños. My God it was delicious! Jim was so cool taking care of us out of towners. I really recommend coming here. The food is great and the company is even better.
Nothing beats the original footlong chili dog. Had my first one as a kid in the early 60's on the family Sunday road trip to Illinois (Iowa was dry at the time). Anytime I'm back in the area, need to stop in for one, or maybe two.

I've only been there once but I'm convinced by older 5 star reviews that they've changed their chili dog in some way. It wasn't that great. The bread was really good, chili seemed from a can, the wiener was ok. I was joking with my wife that they should change their sign to home of a chili dog.
