Muddy water cafe is located 40 bank street in New London, good place for breakfast, deck area is nice, calm and relaxing. Crowded in morning time you have to wait in line. Taste is good.Price is moderate to expensive. I ordered a strawberry smoothie there which cost me $10.Taste was good. For vegan or vegetarian very few options is available. Payment can be both mode cash or digital also . Takeout or dine-in available. Parking available at back side.
A beautiful coffeeshop that's spacious with plenty of seating arrangements, fairly priced food options, and a beautiful view of the harbor and the train tracks. The decor hints of seaside and sports themes, and when I was there 70's & 80's music was playing. They even had a jukebox, but I couldn't tell if it worked. The food is quite delicious, and service is decently fast with drinks and pastries served almost immediately! I had the hummus sandwich, and it was a lot even for me, but it was well worth the price! Overall, the atmosphere alone makes this my new favorite coffee shop, the staff are fantastic, and the food is equally as delicious! This place is pretty popular so expect a lengthy line to get in if you're not getting in early!
A great place to have a sandwich or a salad. The portions are large so you could actually split an order and not go away hungry. I ordered the turkey sandwich and could not finish it. I bet there was close to a half pound of turkey on the sandwich. If you finish your main course there are pastries that look fantastic. When the weather is pleasant the views of the harbor from the deck in the back of the restaurant is hard to surpass. Some of the patrons like to hang out and read a book or perhaps write one. A very friendly place. Shout out to the staff who are friendly and helpful. They make you feel like you are always welcomed.
This is without a doubt the best place to get a hearty full breakfast in the New London area. It is also the best place for flaky pastries and other sweets. They have a wide selection of homemade cookies and croissants and muffins and scones. We’ve been there several times and never had a bad meal. The deck has been expanded and it offers a panoramic view of the Thames River, passing trains, and even submarines being built across the water. Staff is friendly and efficient.
I have been coming here for months now, I love this place. They recently updated their back deck with tons of seating and a new portico. It is a great place to sit outside and watch the trains, submarines, and ferries. It can get pretty busy but I have never had a problem finding a seat. The service is phenomenal too - very friendly staff. Hands down the best spot to study, chill, and/or code in New London possibly the region. They also have an extensive vegetarian menu and if you sub out a few ingredients on many of their menu items you can have a superb vegan meal. The PB&J is delicious as is the Lust Salad (or try the Lust Grinder) - and the hummus wrap is pretty darn good too. It would be awesome if they carried tofu - hopefully one day they will add it to the menu.
First time visiting the area and this beautiful coffee shop. Service was good despite how busy they were. While I was waiting for my coffee, my phone went off. It was a text from my wife. To my abject horror and dismay, I learned that her and my (former) buddy Steve had been sleeping together behind my back and were now taking the kids and house. My surprise ended when I heard my name called for my coffee. Finally, I sat down outside, admiring the wonderful view, determined not to let my wife’s infidelity get the better of my day. A single tear rolled down my cheek. Fantastic coffee and atmosphere, I highly recommend Muddy Waters Cafe!
Haven't been here in a bit but am amazed that this place actually became better. Still cozy inside and now the deck in back is awesome! Haven't been? Why not? Parking is right in a lot across the say so that is no excuse. So well worth the stop. If you do stay for a bit. You will love it.
We have been coming to Muddy Waters Cafe for last couple of years every Sunday. The atmosphere is lively ( college & Coast Guard students ) and although usually crowded, the line moves quickly. Great egg sandwiches on fresh bagels, pastries, sandwiches and salads. Tomato soup is delicious. The back deck is wonderful to watch activity in the harbor and Amtrack trains. Hopefully it will reopen soon after a fire in their basement . The employees are friendly and very efficient. Totally recommend if in New London.
Small space but it's cozy and great for conversation with loved ones. Beautiful decorations, friendly staff. However, I've lived in CT, RI, and MA and out of all three states (and the many breweries I've tried while residing in each), this brewery h
What a nice hidden gem. Usually, I am racing to or from the ferry in New London but today it was a well-placed stop on my drive. A pause that refreshes while on the road, I spent about an hour and fifteen minutes covering all the exhibits at a medium
I just stopped in for a post workout meal and this hit the spot. Great tasting food and kitchen was smelling great. Small time noodle bar maybe seats about 20 max. But itâs perfect for what it is. Staff were very kind and helpful when ordering and
Hot on Bank has been a game-changer for me and my friends. We love their $5 Fridays deal, and what sets Hot on Bank apart is their exceptional support for Coast Guard Academy cadets like us. They go out of their way to accommodate our schedules and n
Damn this was good. In our never ending search for wonder Indian food here in CT, we tried Spice Palette and it was awesome. Big portions, excellent flavor, perfect service, clean restaurant. It was so good we couldn't stop eating! We'll be back!
I havenât been to Neon Chicken since I was a teen; happened to make a spur of the moment trip to New London and knew I needed to stop in. Food was as good as I remembered and practically nothing has changed. The staff were extremely welcoming
The cruise was wonderful, but it was really difficult to hear the commentary over the speakers unless you were sitting inside. We saw a handful of lighthouses, and the boat circles them so that everyone has a good view for photos. We went as far as
Went here for dinner at 630 on Sunday night, called in to reserve the night before. It was a great experience overall with great food and great service. The young servers we had was very attentive. Our food did not take long, despite Sunday night it
Found this place by accident while waiting for a train, and what a jewel of a find it is. We got there right after it opened and it was quiet, but quickly a few regulars showed up and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. The bartender was nice,
My best gal friend suggested we stop in here for dinner after a long day in Misquamicut. I'm so glad we did! It really reminds me of my favorite seafood spot in Narragansett. The line is really long, but it moves quickly. Once you order your food, yo
