Mt. Gardner Inn - Motel in Winthrop - 611 State Rte 20, USA

We spent a relaxing week at Mt Gardner Inn. It is right off state route 20 but the rooms are set back a bit and it is very quiet. We did not hear any noise in our room, not even other guests and they were full. We were in Raven's Ridge A and it is a beautiful upstairs room. The atmosphere of the room is comfortable and homey. There is a large balcony with a table and 2 chairs and also 2 large comfy chairs with footstools and still room to walk around. The view from the balcony is of a grassy area. Other cabins and buildings are far enough away that the balcony feels private. Everything in the room was very neat and clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We love that the upstairs room is pet free because we have animal allergies. It is a short walk to the downtown area for shopping and restaurants. We actually planned our vacation dates in order to stay at the Mt Gardner Inn in Raven's Ridge A. We plan to return to Winthrop to experience a different time of the year and we will definitely stay at Mt Gardner Inn.

What a delightful respite from the heat -- the room was sized perfectly and provided every amenity needed -- microwave, mini fridge, and LOADS of hooks. I love a spot that provides hooks. The small table was ideal for evening meals, and the bed was very comfy. Nice and quiet here, too. Super close to tasty restaurants, wineries, breweries, and fun shops. Check in was breezy, and the lobby provided complimentary ice, dinnerware, wine glasses, movies, etc. Worth every penny we paid.

Wonderful visit!|When we walked into the room, it smelled fresh!|Sone places smell like disinfectant- this place smelled clean! |And it was !! |The entire facility was that way.||Slept well and enjoyed the back patio with table and chairs. Great view and the wife saw a deer stroll through the yard.||When we couldn’t drive the Cascade Loop for a day due to wildfires, we played backgammon on the patio. They also had free movies in the front lobby so we took advantage of that too.||The lobby had alot of interesting historical artifacts on display as well as multiple games/books/etc to enlighten you.|If you ran low on anything, a visit to the front lobby provided items you needed.||The hosts were available via text if needed but we were self-sufficient and didn’t need them for anything.||We stayed in the Quail Room.

We stayed in one of the front rooms at Mt Gardner and it was so nice having our own chair outside the room to sit outside. The room was very clean and tidy with everything you needed. It was about a 15 minute walk into the center of Winthrop of which we used the smaller bridge over the river as it was a lot quieter to walk along than on the main road over the big bridge. |I would recommend anyone to stay here if visiting Winthrop.

We have stayed here a number of times. We will stay here again in the future.|The accommodation here is well thought out, pleasantly decorated, and extremely relaxing. |Self catering is easy with kitchens are well stocked for meal prep. The lovely Bistro is a few steps away if you want a meal out (reservations are a good idea). Of course there are other restaurants in Winthrop but they are a longer walk.|The only downside to the entire place is the teeny shelves that work as side tables. They barely hold a cell phone and a pair of glasses. That's the only negative we could come up with and no one is perfect.

The hotel rooms were the cleanest we have seen in a long time. The staff was super friendly and accommodating! We asked to stay an extra night because we were so impressed and she gave us a discount on the suite for our loyalty. We got to stay in a cream of the crop suite for our last night. I told my wife “some people pay $400k-$500k to live in something like this. ||I was pretty high maintenance as I asked for a printer and scanner for a document for work and beach towels for the lake at North Cascades, and they had a timely response for everything! This is a hidden gem in Washington and anyone planning on going to North Cascades should stay in Winthrop with these folks!

Wonderful place to stay to explore North Cascade! The room was sparkling clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds ever. We enjoyed sitting out on our patio in the evening to watch the deer grazing. We stayed two nights and gladly would have stayed longer!

As always, I enjoyed my stay immensely! The rooms are so pretty and always very clean, with everything I need. The beds are super comfortable, the room temperature able to really be dialed in, movies to borrow for when I need kick back time (I can even borrow real cutlery and mugs), and a super convenient location that has me close to trails and town. Extra bonus: the hosts have always gone above and beyond to make sure I have what I need/want. This is my Methow go-to.
