You have to call for a reservation as there is no online booking for reservations. The bar is MASSIVE. The margaritas are great, and the wine selection is really nice. The start of the journey is through these amazing and large gates. You drives up a long and winding hill to reach the restaurant where you can valet or park yourself. Jay and Michael/Mike took care of us at the hibachi and Pedro was the lone bartender taking care of the entire restaurant with great care. The entire evening was wonderful. From start to finish it was a great experience. The bar took a few minutes to get a drink but there were also about 15/20 people in there waiting for our table, it was ready about 15 minutes before our reserved time and we headed back for a great experience after we paid for our drinks. Dinner was fantastic and we had such a good time, our table was 12 so we were seated with another group of 5. It was very nice.

This is a dining experience! Entertainment is included! We walked in without a reservation so had to wait to see if there was a cancellation. And there was! It's very warm in there, as the tables are all cook tops and very hot. So dress light! We ordered several things off the menu and it was all delicious including drinks. The chef puts on a show for you! They are all very nice and friendly and hilarious. The restaurant is beautiful. The view is killer! And it wasn't terribly expensive for 2 people including tip it was under 100$. And we both got drinks and dessert. We loved it!

I just went here for my birthday, finally got to visit this place after not being able to get reservations. So be sure to call a week ahead for a reservation on a weekend. The entrance going up hill to this restaurant is so beautiful. I absolutely love the steep and winding roads with the beautiful view. The restaurant's exterior, is designed to make you feel like you're in Japan. Service is good, the server could be more knowledgeable. She's friendly but she doesn't explain much or gives recommendations. Our hibachi chef, however, is excellent and super friendly. He made sure that we like how the food is cooked since they cook in front of you. Look for Domi when you select a chef, highly recommended. About the menu, they should expand it a little bit, add more items since people who goes there are ready to spend and try different dishes. We love the place, the experience, drinks. Hibachi is excellent. The place is definitely loud but full of energy and many customers like me celebrate their special occasions. Overall you should definitely take a drive to visit this place because the view itself is amazing and worth it!

It was an amazing experience from start to finish. I have always seen the establishment traveling on the highway since I was young. I'm very glad I finally tried it. Just the drive to it was unique, and immediately set the place apart from your average restaurant. The valet staff was nice and attentive, and I helped us right when we pulled up. The walk-in was something you would see in a James Bond film. It was very authentic and high-end. The views were instantly an eye grabber. Despite the cloudy day, it was still impressive. We didn't have reservations, so we had to wait a bit, but the front desk was kind pointed us towards the bar. We were greeted immediately and handed a drink menu. I had the IPA, which was pricey but worth it, delicious! My wife had a Pina Colada, which she said was good and strong! 💪 We checked out the views while we waited for our table, and the wait wasn't very long at all. Once we sat down, the real fun started. The place was packed and had a lot of energy, but I never felt the staff was rushing or behind in anyway. We had a few appetizers, which were great! Also, our Hibachi (Teppanyaki) meal came with salads and miso soup. My son, who doesn't like to try new things too often, loved the soup! Our waiter was attentive and fast with drinks and our food. Then, the Hibachi chef came to the table. He was very fun and entertaining, especially for the kids at the table. We all had a great time, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the filet mignon and shrimp, and my wife and son had the chicken. It was great! They had a kids size, too, which was nice because we didn't have to get too much for him and have a lot left over, and the price was awesome. We have frequented a lot of Teppanyaki style restaurants, but this one was easily the best one we have been to. It was the whole package great food, great atmosphere, fun and energetic staff, and really great prices. Can't go wrong here. I highly recommend it. 👌 A++

Food tastes decent, beef and lobster were very tender. Chicken appetizer was surprisingly more tender than any other restaurant. Only complaint was the potion of food was super small. Still more than any other similar restaurant in NY NJ area. I guess we need to blame on inflation.

Wow, Mt. Fuji is something else! I went there yesterday, and I've got to say, I was blown away. The chefs put on a real show, cooking everything right in front of us. They were flipping shrimp, making onion volcanoes – the whole deal. The food is out of this world. Whether it's steak, chicken, or seafood, it's cooked just right and full of flavor. And if you're into sushi, you have to try theirs. It's as fresh as it gets. The service is friendly and quick, and the whole vibe of the place is just fun and relaxed. It's perfect for a date night or a fun dinner with friends or family. And hey, they're keeping everything super clean, so you know you're in good hands. So, if you're looking for a great time and some tasty food, head over to Mt. Fuji Hibachi. You won't regret it!

Mt Fuji is one of those places you never forget. It has a very long-standing history in the New York New Jersy area as purveyors of high quality authentic Janapese cuisine. Trying to review a place that has withstood the test of time is difficult. Opening in 1985, there is not much that has not already be mentioned over the years. Paying close attention to typical Japanese tradition, this is not a place you will soon forget. Nestled in the Ramapo Mountains in Hillburn, NY, and a majestic entrance on Old Rt 17, you will serpentine your way up the drive to be graced with more authentic style Japanese decor and architecture. Beautifully landscaped with Koi ponds. The main steps lead down to the entrance where you will be met by a maitre d who will guide you to your reserved table. Reservations are strongly recommended. There are a few types of seating arrangements from standard table and chairs or booth to full size Hibachi stations. For a more private Hibachi type set up, reserve a tatami style booth which does require your shoes to be removed before seating. This is what we reserved this time out. My first endeavor with this type of seating. At first, I was a little apprehensive that I may be uncomfortable, but surprisingly it was fine. We started the evening with drinks (Zombies and Gin & Tonics) and appetizers. After having the Miso soup, Classic Makimono spicy tuna was fantastic. It is served with spicy sauce, tempura crunch, sesame oil and scallion. The Wasabi was really fresh and packed a better than typical punch. Dinners were Hibachi Shrimp, Bonsai Chicken, Mt Fuji Fulet Mignon. All entrees were prepared and cooked at our tatami style table. Entrees include noodles and rice, a garden salad with the best ginger dressing I have ever had. I've tried to duplicate it but no joy. Portions are just right (but that is subjective). The highly trained Chef does all the typical antics while cooking and certainly adds to the entertainment and a fulfilling meal. Our wonderful Chefs name is Hedy, and he is not afraid to engage in conversation while he works to prepare your parties' meals to precision; and that he did! Make your reservation and visit Mt Fuji in Hillburn. I believe you will be glad you did.
