Mt Erie - Park in Anacortes - Erie Mountain Dr, USA

One of the most picturesque places in the Whidbey Island/Anacortes area. A must see location if you love the outdoors. Use caution and if you have a small animal keep it on a leash. Keep little kids at arms length at all times as there are spots all around this area with deadly drop offs. They are easy to identify and if you are diligent the risk is minimal. My only complaint is a cell tower on the grounds that is a bit of an eye sore. You can drive all the way to the top or if you are more adventurous you can park at the bottom and hike all the way up. This place is a must visit location for the area with about a 270 degree view of Whidbey Island and Anacortes. You won't find better views in the area. I have also seen people bring rock climber RC cars here and play around. It Looked fun. If you are visiting the area and can only visit one place, this is it. Also if you like the outdoors and picturesque scenery this is the place to go to above all others in my opinion. Plus you can see it and be on your way in less than an hour. If you are only into looking at nature for a minute, then look, get in your car and drive off. What ever the case this place is THE must see spot of the area. Try to go on a clear day if possible.

I'd you haven't been to Western Washington, and you have the time, take a day trip to Mount Erie. The view is absolutely astounding. There is a 270 degree view of the Puget Sound and surrounding mountains. You also get a lovely view of an island on an island. I won't give too much away, so you'll enjoy the sight. Please be careful when you are there

From the bottom of the mountain, you can go up the trail road, and there is a road so that you can go up to the view point by car. The bay and the islands looking down from the top were very nice and I definitely recommend you to stop by.

It's small but pretty! The route getting up there is a little whining and kind of narrow and all. .Also, it seems to attract jerks, so be careful. When you're driving around, there was about 2 dangerous situations where the other person screamed something dragatory at me when it wasn't my fault at all.

A great place to get stunning views of the Olympic Range, Mount Baker, Hope Island, and Skagit Bay. You can get here by car or hike up the mountain. There are a couple of easy hikes up to the mountain, and plenty of parking spots at the top. There are also multiple viewpoints. It's a good place to spend time and see the nature around.

Drive to the top, enjoy the view! The road up is steep and tree lined, you can hike up to if you want. There are several small parking lots towards the top, I'd encourage you to go until the road ends. The first overlook i found was overgrown and much of the view was blocked. I hiked along the rock until I reached another overlook which had the best view and was behind the radio towers.

Such a beautiful drive up to the top. There are trails you can walk out to too the views! Some of the views are obstructed by the trees so you can quite see all the beautiful scenery but if you take some of the trails you can get some views but be careful not to slip on the slippery rocks.

Fantastic view on top especially on a clear and sunny day! You can drive all the way to the top, there's limited parking but you can always find a spot. Accessible even for those with bad knees like me.
