The good thing about this place first and foremost is that it was open, while other skiing areas at lower elevations in Oregon had yet to get enough snow. Expect to see a lot of families with children under 12. These photos are from the Sunrise Lodge, which is more akin to a cafeteria than a place to sit around a cozy fireplace, but the food and drinks were great so it's more a matter of what kind of skiing experience you're looking for.
Great runs, great atmosphere. Feels family friendly even though it long ago fell into the hands of Alterra. Sunnier than most other resorts in the PNW. Beautiful tree runs but unfortunately if you catch at the wrong time it can be completely iced over and you need to stay on-piste, groomed.
Great place for beginner skiers. Parking is not a problem. There is a casual and large lodge where you can eat and drink. This place has everything you need for spending the day skiing.
I went snowboarding for the first time with my family. Our ski/snowboard rental experience was super easy. Buying passes for the beginner course/lift was super easy as well, and only cost $5. I bought the passes online from my phone the night before. The staff in the rental center and on the mountain were extremely helpful and polite. I highly recommend Mt. Bachelor for everyone. I will definitely return next year.
The resort was well run from parking attendants to those running the lifts. When my son and his friend found a hill too difficult they were quickly helped and when needed taken to the bottom in sleds. Lifts were slowed and stopped to care for skiers having difficulty. Everyone was in good spirits. Snow was available when there was no snow at other resorts.
Skiing for all levels…novice to mountain daredevils. Great runs. Friendly staff, easy access to different lodges and good food options. Nice lodge area to sit and relax if you are into snow sports.
Great snow! Great slopes! Gorgeous views! I’ll come back to ski next time. We went there (Nov 22) just before they were opened for skiers so it’s was empty for us that day.
Love Mt. Bachelor.. Great skiing!! Thank goodness we live here!!!
Ski Patrol is awesome! They are fast and caring!!

Absolutely delicious veg food in Central Oregon. Was visiting from out of town seeing a local friend, she said this was the best veg Mexican around - I was skeptical until I had their Crunchwrap. If youâre looking for comfort in a tortilla or other

The Oregon Roll is their flagship pastry. While very delicious, it might be a bit sweet for some. They have the usual coffee offerings of any decent coffee shop. Where this gets very good is the outdoor seating in an adorable courtyard. The atmosphe

I did not consider myself a gym person. The workouts incorporate a heart rate monitor, which makes it feel like a game. Plus, having to schedule my slots prompts me to commit to a day and time.
