The smoked pork chop was amazing and HUGE! The catfish skillet spicy and delicious. Only our 2nd time but both times a winner. The waffle was tasty. The wait staff friendly and on top of things.
They’re doing it right. Amazing grits and gravy. You would not think it’s that hard to do grits right, but so many places miss the mark. Mrs. Betty understands. Very pleased with what comes out of her kitchen. Great menu offerings at VERY reasonable prices. When’s the last time you had chipped beef on toast? I mean, come on, it’s a treat! Do yourself the favor of trying them soon!
My mom and I ended up here by chance after a popular downtown restaurant had an obscene wait time. I honestly think we were meant to end up here! The food was beyond excellent and staff were friendly. I will definitely be returning!!
2.12.23 - Got the Cajun ham and grits and it was delicious. Fried green tomatoes / cornbread / Mac & cheese
Original-The food is great & staff is amazing.
Updated Review - 4/15/23: Incredible service! Fast and friendly! Delicious food. A really fun place to eat. I had an omelette with hash browns and a biscuit. Mmm!!! My wife had French Toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Everything was great! I highly recommend Mrs. Betty’s Kitchen!!!

Delicious food and great service! We went to Mrs. Betty's Kitchen for breakfast and we are happy we did. Everything we ordered was delicious! The servings were huge. We had enough left to take home and eat it for breakfast tomorrow morning. I had an omelette with sausage, tomatoes, red peppers, and cheddar cheese. I also got a side order of grits. My wife had chicken tenders and waffles. The coffee was great and the orange juice was ice cold... just like I like it. The waitress was helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Mrs. Betty's Kitchen.
We found this place by accident as two other places we tried were closed. The wait staff was extremely pleasant. We had the jerk chicken egg roll which was spicy. Chicken and waffles were delicious and the loaded shrimp/fish and grits were also spicy. We will definitely visit again and try some other items.
The food was good and the chef cooked my meal just the way I asked for. Also, you get plenty of it.
Maybe they were short staffed the day I went but we waited an hour and ten minutes to eat.
We were 5 minutes away from walking out.
I cannot recommend this restaurant if you have a time crunch. If you have all the time in the world, the food is good.
Exception: the homemade biscuit was delicious!
Came here for breakfast with my family! I had the loaded shrimp and catfish grits! BABY! These are the best grits I have ever had! Please come to DFW, I promise you guys would do very well. We support black businesses! Worth the drive and the cold.
I recently decorated and attended an event at this establishment and I would give it 100 stars âââââ if I could. It was extremely clean and you could just feel the positive energy when you walked through the doors. I felt right at home inst
Ordered two dozen gluten free cupcakes for my daughterâs first birthday! My husband has celiac disease so I was pleasantly surprised when I found a local bakery that does gluten free. They also happily answered my questions about what their protoco
