Love the sushi. Staff is on the ball and the All You Can Eat is definitely a great option. The rolls we had were fresh and delicious. It gets pretty busy during peak hours.

Service is very good and very quick. Food was out toward table very fast. The sushi was very fresh with huge portions. Prices were very reasonable about $25 a person with one drink each. Didn’t realize the restaurant was a chain which we typically avoid but our visit definitely did not disappoint.

Mr. Tokyo is my go-to spot for sushi in Chapel Hill. I came here for all you can eat sushi lunch a lot pre-pandemic. During the height of the pandemic, they had a safe and efficient ordering process and pickup window, and I am still a regular for dine-in and take out. The restaurant is small, so there's often a wait for a table, but it's worth it. The prices are great for the amount and quality of food you get. And the staff is so amazing. I go here so much that I don't even have to say anything when I walk in to pick up a call-in or Door Dash order. They see me and just bring it right to me 😁. Once there was a long line and an estimated 30 minute wait for my pick up, so I sat outside. Within a few minutes a young staff member came outside and handed my order to me. They really are amazing! I've had so many things here, and everything is delicious. Miso soup, crab rangoons, spring rolls, seaweed salad, agedashi tofu, sweet potato and tuna and salmon and eel and crab rolls, all wonderful. I have never been disappointed with the food or service. It's a great restaurant all around. The only downside is the parking lot, which is totally not the business's fault. There are so many businesses on this end of Ram's Plaza that I just head straight to the lot in front of Food Lion and just a few extra steps. There's always plenty of parking over there.

My wife and I have been eating here for a few years now and love the food. The quality of the sushi even for all-you-can-eat has stayed consistently tasty and portioned. Service has been always great. Be careful to time your arrival because weekends do tend to be extremely busy

Recommend coming on a weekday. Weekend and holiday may have a long wait. My personal fav is the salmon lover roll. Most of the rolls under the chef special are pretty good too. Not a fan of their fried goods because of too much breading and too hard to eat. Other than, it's a great experience here.

The sushi is amazing! The appetizers dumplings, spring rolls and clear soup are my favorites. It used to be $17 per person for the unlimited sushi but it looks they have lowered the price to $15 per person as of last week that I went. But also the menu has changed some classic sushi is no longer available or has changed name…Still amazing! One of my favorite places!

First, realize this is a "buffet" style restaurant, in which you pay one price, and eat as much as you can (extra charges for leaving food on your plates). You don't get up and get it. Servers come and take your penciled order paper and fill your food order. I do suggest that servers ask patrons if it's their first time in the restaurant, and then explain how things work. Ken, our server, was great, and food came out relatively quickly. Also the price of the food is very reasonable, especially if you have a big appetite. Now about the food...probably the best sushi I've eaten in North Carolina (within 30 miles of Cary)since I've been coming for visits in 15 years. I almost gave up going to sushi restaurants, as I'm spoiled by the quality of sushi where I live in Orange county, California. Also, the atmosphere is more "upscale", and the seats have cushions. So many restaurants have hard seating nowadays! My only real complaint was that the music they were playing in the restaurant was very loud. But after asking the server to turn it down a bit, he did that immediately and all was good. Overall, I highly recommend Mr. Tokyo.
