We really enjoyed our lunch. We had a very friendly server. I had the puffy taco plate with beef. My husband has the chicken taco salad . The salad was loaded with very tasty chicken 🤩 Chips and salsa were good too. The salsa was very basic but flavorful. I noticed they have a drive- thru also. Stop in and give this place a try!
The food was awful rice was so undercooked it was crunchy. Did not get what I ordered and once my order come I could count the cheese strands on one hand. The waitress did not come to table once our food was served to check on us... We are sticking to Mr Taco in GONZALES just can't believe it could be the same owners! Regret not taking pictures of our food
It was a little busy but the end of the rush. We had a party of 8 so we knew patience was needed. Part of the group got drinks but not the other half. The original server left so we had someone else take over. It took a little while and the orders were not complete when served. I would try it again when not so busy.
Mr Taco is legendary in these parts. Here's my take on things to eat there. The chips are always served warm and crispy. Chili relleno, chicken molé, pecho ranchero, and their famous carne guisada are my favorites and all incredible dishes. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the chicken fried steak (regular or ranchero style). That's just a personal taste thing. It's the chicken fried steak part that I'm not fond of. The hamburgers are huge and full of flavor. If you're looking for something light the caldo is delicious. They have the best refried beans you'll find this side of the border. To be honest, whether it's Mexican or American food you really can't go wrong here.
The food portions were humongous! The torta and the burrito filled the box. I joked that it is the size on my thigh! The taste wasn't as good because it was so big, I couldn't eat it. That might be a plus for someone else. The drive thrive wait was 15 minutes
Always great service and food. Best tacos in town. Love the green salsa.
Turn off the CNN propaganda, I'd rather Novelas than that garbage. The food is always great, used to eat at the one in Luling every morning. The TV channel choice is a bad one
Had Lunch there today and even though they were packed (we got the last table) they were friendy, fast and 😋 delicious!
We loved this little bar! The bartender Reuben, was awesome! They had a good selection of beers, including craft beers. We were each able to find a beer we hadn't tried yet. They also had some good whisky's so had to end with an angel's envy!
I went to Commerce Cafe for a late afternoon cup of their wonderful coffee. I also ordered the popovers (when was the last time, if ever, that you've seen popovers on a restaurant menu?) They are wonderful, served with savory butter and shredded gruy
I absolutely loved this place! 5 stars all around. Will did a fabulous job making us feel welcome as well as offering suggestions. Our coffee cups never got less than half-empty. The food was AMAZING! I will be back for sure, and hopefully, it is on
Really good food, the chips and queso was the best Iâve had in a long time. Sourdough buns on the burgers were nice. Careful if you get boneless wings, they basically come out as chicken tenders.
Wow! Just wow! We've been to the Black's in Austin, and it was really good. But this one in Lockhart was just amazing! All we had was the brisket and the sausage and it was the best BBQ ever! Sorry for all the exclamation points. I usually think th
