Relocating to Boise, and searching for a new coffee “home” in the suburbs. I’ve gotta say, the folks at this Moxie Java location have hit it outta the ballpark. My Mexican Mocha was almost perfect, but it was my fault for not asking the barista to up the spice level. It was obviously good enough the way it was made for me to return on three consecutive mornings and order the same drink. I also really loved the “Hipsterberry Donut,” and was happy to purchase the last one in the case on a dreary Sunday morning. I’m looking forward to many return visits in the future! Edit: After a final two months in the Midwest, we can finally call Boise home! Two more visits to Moxie in the three days since I’ve returned… even the Good Boi Maximus loves your shop!!! Thank you to all of your fantastic employees!!!
Wanted to love this place but just… didn’t. The service was great! Such a sweet person at the window- very welcoming and warm. The coffees my partner and I got were pretty awful. They tasted (much like another reviewer said) like chocolate milk. My partner’s americano was incredibly watery and my latte was almost pure milk. Neither of us finished them. Maybe some folks like weak coffee but we didn’t taste much coffee flavor at all. I hope things improve because I’d love to love this place!
The baristas are friendly and the banana bread is delish! Bonus points for Moxie offering dog biscuits for the dog (via the drive-through). Unfortunately, the coffee is too sweet. Sometimes less syrup is best.
Thanks Ryan for the tips to make my own cold brew. Both me and my husband love it. Got some making and will be gone in 2 days. 😄
The service was great, the coffee is good but lukewarm. The scones were meh. We asked that they be warmed up, and perhaps the fact that they weren't was merely an oversight. We want to support the local coffee shop, but they probably need to up their game a bit more. Update: This was a dine-in for my husband and myself. I can only say that our coffees (hot lattes, mine with oatmilk) were not hot. We were actually sitting at the bar the coffees wete delivered to, so they weren't cooled down waiting for us to pick them up. I'm sorry for the low review. I do appreciate your prompt response and your concern about our experience.
Espresso tastes ok, but they put fewer shots in the same size drinks as other shops, so it can taste diluted or watery. The brekky burrito had the paper sticking to the tortilla and I had to mangle the burrito to get it off. They forgot about my food and it sat there for a while before I came to ask about it. The atmosphere is nice inside, looks like an old West theme.
Moxie Javas is getting harder to find. This one is a real treasure. The atmosphere and ambiance are exactly the coffee shop vibes I love. The outside sitting area is fabulous and very well thought out. I will be here a lot. If you came here because of my recommendation and see me, you owe me a Milkyway.
This was the perfect place to meet up for sips and a light bite before a fall hike! The atmosphere is conducive for conversation; the staff was welcoming; and the service was excellent!

Don't let the simple looks fool you, the food the was delicious! The pastrami burger was well balanced and had a good amount of pastrami. The Philly was on the verge of being too salty but honestly one of the best Philly's we've had in the valley. T

This is a great place for some good, quick Mexican food. It's not fancy, nor is it a hole in the wall, it's just good, affordable Mexican food that reminds me of SoCal. The treasure valley doesn't have a great variety of Mexican restaurants, but thi
We had a big group that Wepa was able to accommodate with reservations. The hostess was attentive and walked everyone through their questions. Our food was very quick and delicious. I had the garlic sauce shrimp which were to die for. This place is
I havenât been to Sofiaâs in about 10 years. I was nervous about it not being what I remembered. It was always one of my favorites and a special place I shared with my partner as we started dating over a decade ago. We returned here the other day
I got to give this Vietnamese restaurant five stars. The people in there are very nice. Theyâre very attentive and this makes a big difference to me. It means that they care about the customers. Now the food is on point. I started off with the Viet
