Mountainside Villas - Resort hotel in McGaheysville - 4082 Peak Dr, USA

Be warned. Terrible resort. We never received any communication from the resort, no emails or calls, nothing letting us know what to expect or costs etc associated with the stay. When we arrived, they told us there was a activities fee for $80 without disclosing that most of the activities were closing for the off-season or there was very little to do with the recreation card we received for the $80 fee. We only had access to two of the pools on the entire resort and they were closed half the time we were there. We were told we had access to the rec center but half the things at the rec center had extra costs including the pool tables. Literally every other resort we have ever stayed at had the pool tables and arcade free as well as the put put, pool etc. Not this place, pay extra for everything. Only after I confronted them on the very little that I had found to be available to use did they tell me it was the off season and things were closed. I demanded a refund for changing me for something with no value and they told me it wasn't going to happen. They tried to blame Massanutten for everything but they were the ones being deceptive. To top that off, they didn't bother to tell us they had a water main break and imagine our surprise when all the water was coming out dirty and brown for our first day. Even better is the 45 year old decor in units that haven't been upgraded since the place was built. I've stayed at a number of resorts for similar cost that were considerably nicer with amenities included

We traded our Summit upper and lower and used the points to book a week in Mountainside Villas. We were all able to stay in the same unit and enjoyed it immensely. The unit we were in had only a few steps, so we were thrilled. The unit was clean and everything was in good working order. It has a nice, big kitchen and big fridge. We had a great time.

We had a great time, both at the resort and in the area. Played golf, rode the summer chair lift ride and visited several very nice wineries. The unit was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. We were very pleased with the experience.

Spacious 2 bedroom condo. Very nice balcony to use and watch the deer stroll by. Furnishings were comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Very quiet setting. Great amenities, including, for an extra charge, an indoor water park for kids and adults who want to be a kid! Very helpful staff. Unit was spotless when we checked in. Wifi worked great. Great restaurants within 15 minutes of the resort. Large Food Lion grocery store about 3 miles away. ABC store is next door to the Food Lion. Entrance to Shenandoah National Park is about a 20 minute drive.

Found unit to be well cleaned and linens and bedding to be as expected. There was a good assortment of kitchen items for meal prep. New appliances were very nice. Oven/stove and refrigerator. Suana is a great extra. Nice jetted tub, but didn't use this vacation. Great amount of space for up to 8 people. 2 bedrooms and the main had a King. We are used to that so it was a plus to have the extra bed space.

Absolutely loved MV. Our unit was great. New coaches and chair in the main room. Units are staggered so balconies are private. Unit also has a sauna which we really enjoyed. Nice big space for a two bedroom unit.

Very spacious mountain retreat!! Highly recommended for families or small groups. Nice fresh mountain air amongst gentle woodland creatures. It’s great to watch the deer, foxes and birds of every sort in their natural habitat.

We had a great time. No problems at all. The villa check in was very easy and the additions to the skiing is great. Some of the units have updated. However the small washer and dryer in these units are really not very helpful unless you have only a few things. The sauna is wonderful. The staff excellent
