If your pet is a established patient here they make a lot of effort to fit your pet in for emergencies which saved my dog on more than one occasion. They are a bit pricier, but you can be assured they only recommend what is medically necessary, and they always were right on the dot for diagnosis. I'm glad to go to a clinic that cares for my dog. And my dog loves it here too!

Usually not one to leave reviews, but wanted to share my experience. My cat has received amazing care here. We started coming about 2 years ago. My cat had chronic GI issues. Well, with the food recommendations and a bit of creativity with water consumption along with supportive medical care, her health has been radically improved. She’s doing so well on her new diet and I am very grateful for the poignant and effective recommendations that come from this clinic. I trust the providers here with my cat. We’ve seen about 3-4 vets and they’ve all been great. 😊

We already had an annual exam scheduled for our kitty, Newton, to see Dr. Cheshier. But when our pup started having sneezing fits out of the blue, they were able to get her in fast! Both Drs. Beckley and Cheshier are incredible! They're so gentle with their patients and did a great job explaining possible treatment plans. We live in SE Portland, but it's worth the drive to get to Mountainside.

Not sure where to start but I have been taking my animals to this vet clinic since they opened a few years ago. Just took my small doxie mix for a major nail trim (he needs anesthesia as sedating him he still freaks out) Due to my own neglect, I let his nails get out of control so they couldn’t tell me how short they would be able to get them…imagine my delight when I picked him up 4 hours later they were perfect! He makes no sound when walking on my hardwood floors anymore! I also need to add that we had a cat who had been seen there before and unfortunately he had a medical emergency one night and we had to take him to an ER where we learned he would not survive. Ironically a few days later they called to say Phoenix was due for his checkup and I had to tell them the horrible news. Days later we received a card signed by the whole staff sharing their condolences. Wow. Huge shoutout to Brian, Kirsten, Brittney, Dr. Thrower, Dr. Cheshire and Dr. Gracie — I’m probably leaving someone out so I apologize. But these are the folks I’ve had interaction with on different occasions . Although pricey, they have never made me feel like I was paying for unnecessary things. It is money well spent for me to know all my pets will get the greatest care here. The compassion they have is amazing— Keep up the great work team!

After having a few traumatic vet visits at other clinics, I’m so relieved to have found Mountainside Veterinary Hospital for my cats. The staff members are kind, the facility is immaculate, and they provide excellent education to their pet parents. I was able to take my leash-trained cat in without any issue, where other clinics have required him to be crated. I will absolutely recommend MVH to friends!

We adore Mountainside Veterinarian hospital! Dr. Steve and co-owner Ronna have centered their practice around the loving and caring bond between animals and their humans. We are always treated warmly; and all doctors and staff go above and beyond when taking care of our pets. We feel so fortunate to have this level of expertise right in our area. Thank you!

I am visiting from out of state so when my dog became ill, I called Mountainside, not knowing what kind of care my dog would receive. I am so glad I called them. First, they quickly worked in Bear right away, within an hour or so. And I didn't have to sit in the waiting area for very long. Everything was clean and neat and professional.. Every staff member I have had contact or a phone or text conversation with was kind, responsive, and knowledgeable. No one rushed me. No one tried to 'upsell' me on anything. Everyone was professional but personable. All of this put me at ease. On Bear's follow up visit to have his staples removed after his surgery at the emergency hospital, they didn't rush me but listened to my concerns--and this price was VERY reasonable for how much time they took with Bear, and me. I thought it was going to be much more than it was. This professional but kind attitude was the case as well with phone calls. For all contact, I didn't feel as if I were being pushed aside, or rushed, or was a bother - and all of this knowing I was not going to be a long-term 'customer' since I do live out of state. I received the best care there and am very happy. I only wish they were in WNC! As for pricing, again, didn't find their pricing out of line. Maybe my vets at home are too pricey, but I found their pricing reasonable, especially considering how they worked us in, the time they took, and the level of care Bear received. Whenever I visit, I am relieved to know I have a vet and staff I can trust. .

We were referred to Mountainside Hospital after having an extremely unpleasant experience at North Beaverton Pet Hospital. And we were blown away with how AMAZING Mountainside is. From the environment, to the techs, to the vets themselves- everyone was so kind and professional. Our vet tech was amazing i thought it couldnt get any better, but our Vet Dr. Haley blew us away!!! He was very respectful, he shook my hand and introduced himself. He took my concerns seriously, and took the time to educate me and help me understand the allergies my pet has and how to control them better. He created a safe environment, open to discussion and learning. I have never met a vet quite as spectacular as Dr. Haley. My words fail me for how wonderful our experience was here at Mountainside Hospital. Haze and I have never been happier. Shes doing so much better, her skin has cleared from the rashes/itchiness, her uti has gone away, and she is so full of energy again. I will scream from the hill tops: THIS IS THE BEST VETERINARY HOSPITAL EVER! 10000x/10 They have gained a forever-client <3 happy holidays <3
