Very nice park. Super clean and well maintained. Pet friendly which is huge for us! Very nice showers and office /shop. All gravel roads around the park and very nice concrete pads at every site with picnic tables and plenty of room for chairs. Short drive to all the touristy stuff around the Royal Gorge area (like 5 minutes) and only 5-10 minutes back into Canon City if you need something. Also super friendly staff, especially Red who helped escort us to our site and also help me disconnect my Toad!

This is our second time staying at Mountain view. The employees are very attentive and polite and appear to truly care for this facility. The views are amazing from every campsite. Great bike riding just down the road including a few nice restaurants and many activities.

We stayed here for the first time with our RV. This is a very well maintained park. We have a 40' and the slots are roomy and it is easy to manuever around the park. They escort you to your slot and make sure you are set up properly. It rained a lot so it was great to have a concrete patio and well graveled roads throughout the park. The scenery is the surrounding fields and mountains. The location is great as it is very close to the Royal Gorge and conveniently located only about 6 miles from Canon City. The only staff we met was Paul (the owner) and Red. Very nice folks. I would recommend staying there!

We stayed in one of the glamping domes and absolutely loved it! It was clean, comfortable and had the best view. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The campground itself was one of the cleanest campgrounds I have ever been in (we camp a lot). The showers were great too! We loved every minute of our stay here. Highly recommended!!

I'm not a fan of private RV parks, I prefer the wild outdoors and State parks, but I really liked this place. Was in the area to raft etc, and wanted full hookups as we wouldn't be at the camper much. I did my research of the area (I have been here a few times) and this one seemed to stand out. I had stayed at the KOA a few times, but they have always had a section of rigs that are permanently there, not to say that is a terrible thing, they also wanted about $100 a night for the time frame I was looking at (late July) and I KNOW that the sites are on top of each other. Got a premium site at Mountain View for about $70 a night, which was better than the other private grounds in the area with full hookups. And one had HORRID Google reviews (I won't mention their name.) Check-in was easy (pre-checked online) guy at the desk (maybe the owner?) wasn't friendly, but wasn't rude. It was the afternoon and I think he just wanted to be done for the day. However, the fellow with the southern drawl and the USMC hat was super cool. Took us to our site and chatted for a while, I should have gotten his name. Our site (21) was super long, like a 45' semi trailer and tractor would have fit comfortably in it. Had neighbors on both sides, but trees/shrubs between the sites made it feel a little more private. This place is tidy and super maintained. They have a LOT of rules (like most of these private grounds) and it was always quiet. We were here during the week, so I can't speak for weekends. Some of the facilities (mainly the bathroom by the office) are dated and in need of some TLC, but it was not an issue for me. Plenty of water, and showers were super hot. Apparently the water is trucked in from Canyon City and pretty hard, get a filter, or use water you brought like we did for coffee, etc. When I return to the area I will stay here or at the primitive sites closer to the Gorge that are owned by the City of Canyon City. I definitely recommend. Make sure to go to Centennial Park in Canyon City and swim in the Arkansas, they offer free loaner life jackets if needed. Take care, Ray

This place was a beautiful clean place to camp for our family. The only thing I would like to see for our next trip i would like to see for the games to stay open later. There was 2 days when we came back to the camper around 5:30 and the kids had nothing to do after 6pm. But all in all it was a great place to stay.

Our stay at Mountain View RV Resort was wonderful! All campsites are clean and well equipped and the amenities are great! Location was perfect to easily enjoy area attractions but very quiet and peaceful as well. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again! Thank you for a pleasant experience!

If you’re pulling a trailer you cannot have a second vehicle at your site. They wouldn’t let my wife even bring the car to the site to unload stuff. Having said that, it is a very well kept campground, with great views. The staff was otherwise helpful. The location is very convenient as well.
