I absolutely love this hike. Especially in the fall cause the maple leaves turn orange and red. The trial tracked on my watch as close to 9 miles than 7 miles. The bouldering near the top can be fairly difficult. It’s steep. The views are very worth it!
Mt. Olympus is a super fun and beautiful hike - The views are amazing and the scramble to the summit makes for a rewarding climb! A few things to know before you go: The trail is steep so be prepared to work and bring plenty of water. As it's one of the most prominent mountains viewed from the Salt Lake Valley it's a popular trail and well maintained, but slow down a bit at the saddle to enjoy the views and plan out your scramble to the summit. Elevation: 9,026 ft Elevation gain: 4200 ft Trail type: out & back Trail length: 3.5 miles (7 miles round trip) Class: 3 (A series of scrambles to reach the summit with moderate exposure and some loose rocks) Trailhead: 5800 S. and Wasatch Blvd We headed out early in the morning before the sun was up and moved at a brisk pace as we wanted to enjoy the sunrise from the summit. Climbing with my two motivated teenagers (14 and 13) we peaked at 2 hours 20 minutes and took in the amazing views. Descent time was 1 hour 50 minutes as we decided to do a trail run for added fun. :) Definitely one of my favorite mountain hikes and is a must climb!
Difficult to summit: Moderate to advanced There is some scrambling at the top. I got there around 8am, got back down around 1pm. TAKE YOUR TIME. This summit challenged me… but it was worth it. I did Uber to and from the trail, cell service is available the whole way!
It was great because there were not so many people. The autumn's foliage was just beautiful, and the scrambling to get to the top was challenging enough.
Amazing view, well worth summiting. 6 hours at a moderate pace, fairly steep. Some grade 2 scrambling at the summit.
The trailhead itself has plenty of parking and pit toilets. Well marked and labeled. If you're heading up Mt Olympus, check the map because there are a few forks along the way, though there are also signs at some of the forks.
Mount Olympus has been on the top of my bucket list for a while. ⛰🥾✨I’ve done other previous hikes to try to prepare for the ~8 miles hike with 4,200 ft elevation gain. I’m glad I did! We started at 8 am in the morning and the incline started from the first mile. Starting early meant shade cover for the first few hours. The last mile to the saddle was the toughest for me, my legs were on fire but I pushed through and took plenty of breaks. We made it to the saddle where we sat for a bit and enjoyed the stunning views. We went back and forth if we would summit and landed on going to the top. It was worth the extra climb as we sat up high taking in the 360 view of the mountains and the city. Going back down was a different story and having hiking poles for extra stability made a big difference. The sun hit us hard the last couple hours. Luckily we bought plenty of water, filling our backpacks and having a couple water bottles on the side. After 8ish hours of hiking, relaxing, and savoring, we made it back down the trail. We celebrated our adventurous hike with some delicious Greek food at The Med. 😋
Very fun trail, I highly recommend it for people who want a more difficult hike. The view at the top is worth it.

Our server Wendy was amazing. Food was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite things about the food is that it was unique. We had an heirloom tomato pie and a pumpkin sorbet that were just so good. The outside seating looks amazing and so pretty.

Saw piano recital for grand daughter.. Comfortable large room downstairs with outside entrance. Acoustics were surprisingly good. They were great! And, the playground was great for the grand kids.
This park is not typical, it has a well known disc golf course that appears to be kept up and the park in general is in good condition. I'm in Utah & grew up in Utah, that being said most City and State managed parks, recreation areas and the entire

This place lives up to the Bout Time reputation. It was Friday night and the place was packed, but as soon as I sat down, the server was there to take my order and within 10 minutes, I had my food. I went with the Philly, which was amazing. The beer
