Very obscure SF peak. There’s a statue at the middle of a secluded cul-de-sac with some nice views of Sutro and the city.
This a truly a secret spot in San Francisco. This spot marks the exact middle of the city. Great views. Best to drive up. It’s a long way up to see the home of the gods( on a bike or walk) Worth the view and its something unique for those living in SF to check out.
Not really park but the view is good. Nice place to walk up to, two pretty sets of stairs, a good view of the bay from the monument and a good view of twin peaks from the road
A nice little monument tucked away in a secluded part of Ashby heights. Not much to this landmark other than the name (the statue is long gone) - if you’re expecting something grand with a name like “Mount Olympus” you’re gonna be disappointed. My suggestion is make it into a destination and enjoy the walk getting up to it since there are many stairs/routes to it.
One of those “more about the journey than the destination” spots. Enjoy glimpses of Marin Headlands, Seacliff, the East Bay, Potrero... I loved spying the Marin Headlands lighthouse, but, sure, some folks might be disappointed compared to other vista points.
After driving on some pretty windy narrow roads you'll come up to a hill with an obelisk on top. Amazing view of the city and the shipping yards.
Gorgeous views around sunset. What a hidden gem. Excellent quiet place for a cosy chat. The walk up to the top is beautiful too
Mount Olympus in San Francisco California. I had heard there was a Mount Olympus in San Francisco, but it wasn't until I made a new friend- who happened to live up there, that I got to see it myself. The road is narrow and winding and not for the large of frame vehicle. It is a beautiful spot the view is fairly hidden by trees and living units but there is still some view to see. The Sutro monument is a reminder of the work that man did to beautify this city. Unfortunately not much is left of the beautiful statues that he sprinkled around our city due to the general behavior of human beings. This monument is a cool place to see though not much more left than the remaining stone pedestal. One interesting note is that the sandstone is covered with another material as a sort of flocking. And where the flocking has flaked away, people have left reminders of our need for immortality. The random initials, the lovers initials, and the lovelorn seeking his beauty.
My feeling is that they were left in around the 40s. They don't distract or denigrate the monument, they are just a reminder of how fleeting our lives are.

Excellent views of the city from the Sunset stretching all the way to the skyscrapers downtown, plus of course a great look at Sutro Tower. You really get a grasp of the size of Golden Gate Park relative to the rest of the city, plus a good workout g
It's my 1st Opera in the park.

Thank you to all the organizations who made this concert happen and thank all the awesome performers from around the world.
Beautiful 10/10 view at night completing a bucket list goal of mine that I've had for years!
We walked up all the way here which took a while, but it was definitely worth it! If you're in decent shape it shouldn't be an issue, though there's also a b
Mountain lake Park will always be an iconic location for kids of all ages. It's great to see the constant upgrades, and the close to detail attention the grounds keepers are paying towards from the landscaping, habitat, and patrons alike. There have
Great place to have a kids birthday party. It's sheltered from wind so it's fine even on windy days. There is plenty of room for the kids to run around and it's closed off with fencing so you don't have to worry about them running off. Restrooms, pic
Very huge park to go to surrounded by houses at San Francisco! Itâs very convenient for residents to visit here and relax, but also good for everyone. Many people stayed at the grassy areas and do some things. I like how there are palm trees in the
Twin Peaks in San Francisco is a destination that never ceases to amaze me, no matter how many times I visit. My recent trip marked my third visit, and each time, Twin Peaks offers a different but equally mesmerizing view of the city.

The Neighborhood Tour with Lisa was so useful in our search for a home in SF. She listened to all our requests for the characteristics of the property we were looking for, as well as our preferred locations. We knew nothing of the city coming into th
