Mount Greylock State Reservation - State park in Lanesborough - 30 Rockwell Rd, USA

Gorgeous views at the summit! If you are up for a challenging hike or just want to travel to the mountain top, this is the place to be.

Definitely the best mountain views in the state as it has the highest peaks of Southern New England. There are a lot of trails in the reservation, but I found some parts to be so lightly traveled that they were getting a bit overgrown and narrow. Most of the trails aren't actually that difficult compared to some other areas, but found it to be very rooty. Saw a porcupine and quail. Summit and the building were nice, but fairly crowded since many people drove to the top. Barely saw anyone on the trails.

Great day for a walk good weather on the mountain. Snack Shack in Building closed due to lack of staff. Hey it's still tourist season.

Even if you only have time to drive thru the park it is worth it. Hiking is better. Driving and stopping at the vistas is a pretty decent option. Gorgeous views on all direction. Note that at times there might be an entry fee of $20 per out-of-state vehicle near the high point parking lot, but there wasn’t on the day that I went. Free entry. Maybe because it was later in the day. 5 minutes or less to the top of the tower if you go there. And great views all around.

The highest point in this largely urban state is not particularly high but is a pleasant surprise to the unsuspecting visitor. Situated in the beautiful Berkshires, you can either drive to the summit, or there are plenty of trails. I have been here three times, twice by road, and once via the Thunderbolt Trail (which is straight up). Beautiful scenery and view throughout. A wonderful memorial to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice defending our beautiful country. I enjoyed my visits here and look forward to returning and spending the night at the lodge. Highly recommended.

Great area for hiking! Visitor's center with some great info about the area and friendly staff. Includes display of conditions at center and at summit. Trails well marked and mainly left natural, with boards laid in some soggy areas. Would definitely like to get back here again.

Fantastic views in all directions, with multiple states visible on clear days. No entry fee. And, there's a lovely old lodge with food, gifts, and beverages (including beer). Note: the drive up the mountain takes ~20 minutes.

Omg! Couldn’t stop taking pictures! You can drive all the way to the war memorial at Mount Greylock State Reservation. The drive took about an hour and half. It drive is insanely good. It was such a relaxing evening. It is breathtakingly screen. Loved every bit of it. No price tag is attached just enjoy your time there. You can donate if you wish to. I have decided to take our 5 months old and got some great shots.
