Historic is the focus. The bed was comfortable and location was very good for walk to downtown Mount Dora. In the "hideaway" room it was ok. The room could be updated but it was nothing that cause you to have any issues. The refrigerator is a smaller version and stove is adequate for making your meals. The knifes and forks are 60's type, but workable. The bathroom is smaller than you might like but all in all, it was a nice stay.

Very cute little place. Stayed in Nantucket. Had everything we needed for a short stay. Only thing we needed that we didn't have was a cookie sheet. The housekeeper happened to be there and got us one right away from an empty apt. The owner was very responsive. The only thing I would say that could be better is the water pressure. Also it is a downstairs unit so you hear the people above but that can not be helped. Short walk to downtown area. Would stay again!

We had a lovely stay in their cottage. It was a two bedroom and one bath cottage with a living room and kitchen and dining area. It was one block away from downtown so it was easy to walk everywhere. It also had a patio with a couple of rocking chairs. Everything was there that we needed. We would definitely go there again.

The place is pretty clean and well maintained. It looks like the room was updated recently. Plenty of clean towels, kitchen is fully stocked, better than a hotel. The only pet peeve would be the sheets, they are polyester and they kept rolling down at night. They also produce static electricity and you get shiny sparks in the middle of the night. The location is great, walking distance from Donnelly park. Management was very accommodating. The place is advertised as pet friendly (some units) but it is not. If you have an overzealous dog that barks at the drop of a pin, this is not the place for you, we could hear other dogs barking in the pet friendly units as well. This is an old building so walls and floors are not soundproof. We could hear the other tenants yawning (if you have kids, not a place for you either. They will hear more than just yawning, if you know what I mean). So, if your dog barks at other tenant's voices and they leave early asking for a refund, you will be asked to pay for those missing days. So, not a pet friendly at all.||Overall a good place to stay if you are an adult and don't mind noises, but don't bring your dog (or kids).

We spent thanksgiving weekend in the garden cottage and had a very enjoyable experience. These cottages were built in 1938, so bearing that in mind the cottage was comfortable. The floors are pinewood, so they do creak a little when walking and you will hear the guest upstairs moving around. The furnishings are older but are in keeping with the ambiance of the cottage. The décor of the cottage is cozy. Everything was clean, shower, kitchen, floors and even the front porch. The bed was comfortable. Check in was easy, just punched the code into the lock box, got the key out & went in. We traveled with our small dog, and there were plenty of places to walk him. This place had everything we needed and would definitely consider staying again if we returned to the area. The location is perfect for walking downtown.

Quaint lovely little house with upper level separate apartment , walking distance to downtown on a quiet street. Small kitchen with all the equipment and a common laundry area. Hosts are very responsive, had iffy air conditioning- fixed immediately . Nice garden area with BBQ, also enclosed porch.|Off street parking , there is a walking /biking trail right on the street.

Just what my husband and I needed to unwind. Ashley responded immediately when I had a question. We've stayed in quite a few places, but by far this was the cleanest and cutest. The decorations were so festive including a Christmas tree. I described this to people as a little cottage IN the lake. We're looking forward to our next visit.

The most disappointing lodging experience I've had in Mt. Dora in the 12 years I've been visiting. The stairs to the room were rickey. The door was difficult to open and we were greeted at the top of the stairs by a large wasp next. The yard desperately needs landscaping. The room felt tired, the bed was not comfortable, and the smoke alarm went off when we started the heat. The bathroom was a weird conversion area with other items in there covered by a curtain. Little things here and there within the bathroom were broken. We checked out a day early and by no means expected our money back, but it was interesting that no sort of consolation was offered. And when we arrived we were asked to take a package that had been delivered to our room down to the room of another guest. Um, sure. I paid a good chunk of money for a really run down "cottage"...I'll be happy to take wrongly delivered mail to another guest. -- weird. Wouldn't stay here again. It needs a good remodel or cleaning at best.
