I stayed here the weekend before Fourth of July for the Off-Road Triathlon with my boyfriend and dad. This place is a very homely feel. If you’re looking for something quaint that’s close to all shops and the beach, this is for you. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place to stay that’s centrally located. The staff was very attentive and asked if I needed anything throughout my stay via email. I’m assuming this is family/locally owned which made me want to stay here more.
We really enjoyed our short two-night stay here. The room was well-sized and comfortable for the two nights. Parking was easy, self-check-in a breeze, and the room was lovely and toasty for a winter’s night. Well, it is in the centre of town, though in the off session (late March), restaurants close around 8 pm, so be aware. As mentioned to owners and in other posts, the walls are pretty thin, but thankfully, it seems owners are aware of this and looking for a solution.
Cannot beat the location - very walkable if you want to park and not get back into the car until you leave. Bars, restaurants, and public beach are right there. Rooms are cozy. They aren’t brand new but are clean. You can hear outside a little but if you have the AC on, that completely drowns out any outside sounds. Also the WiFi is great if you have to do some work.
Perfect location and cabin like decor + the price can't be beat! They accept dogs too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Easy check-in, great amenities, clean, in the heart of Tahoe City. Rosie's Restaurant just steps away with great breakfasts and lunches. The lake is across the street, with incredible views and in the summer you would have access to the beach. We walked along the cleared, lakeshore's boardwalk with the new snow guiding our way. Everything you need within walking distance: grocery, pharmacy, coffee shops, ski and kayak rentals, bagels, restaurants, and retail therapy. We can't wait to go back in the summer with our dog!
We had a great stay here. The room was clean and comfortable. It's a great location to walk to the lake, shops, and restaurants.
Cozy motel rooms with a FANTASTIC location to walk and explore Tahoe City. Our room was clean with an enclosed porch to sit on as well, but had no view of the lake or mountains and the porch smells a little like cigarette smoke. Great communication from the owner via email before, during and after our stay, including being sure there were no issues during our stay so they could fix anything we didn't like. Other than the rooms being a bit dated and not having a view, it honestly felt more like an AIRBNB than an inn. Things like we arrived to a cold room due to an issue with the furnace we had to fix ourselves and we were asked to be sure to take care of any large trash before we left. I understand things happen, and I appreciate there may be staffing shortages in Tahoe City, but my expectation of an Inn is having staff available to deal with problems and trash, etc., and there was none evident here. A great spot we would probably stay at again overall!
Mother Nature's Inn was a good choice for the value. We paid mid-week rates in mid-September. The decor was cute and it was cozy, quiet and well located. For the following reasons, I'm giving this motel 4 stars, not 5 stars (the owners emailed me several times requesting a 5 star rating) |. I received 14 repetitive emails prior to check-in date about check in policies, and multiple rules for our visit.|. On arrival our door code did not work. This was ok because we phoned the number and were given a new code which worked.|. The carpet was worn and dirty, the shower floor was dirty, the ceiling fan in the bathroom was covered in dirt and dust. Otherwise, the room seemed clean. |. We stayed 3 days and were given just barely enough servings of coffee and sugar to cover three days, and there is no housekeeping service (costs extra).|. I was standing outside my room and saw an owner in the locked supply cabinet about 20 feet from me. He looked at me and turned away. No greeting, or "is there anything you need", no acknowledgement.|. The last email we received before checkout asked us to take out all of our trash and deposit in the dumpsters in their parking lot. I sometimes expect to do this in an Airbnb but not in a motel, shouldn't housekeeping be doing that after we depart?|. I have stayed in hotels, motels and Airbnb's all over the world. Only one other time in many years did a host apply pressure to get a "perfect" 5-star review. This is extremely off-putting and negates the whole purpose of using reviews to discern what the property has to offer. |My 4-star "Very good", review honestly reflects this property.
We just stayed at Mother Nature's Inn, in Tahoe City. We were looking for a dog friendly venue and this was perfect for us. The room was cute, with lovely Tahoe decorations, including small fridge, microwave, coffee/tea/popcorn/chocolate and tea. They also had dog bowls and poop bags. Also there is a dog park located in the back of the facility. The owners, communicate with you on the spot, it has a lock system where you'll be given a code to enter. This was new to us as we're used to lobby service, but everything worked out just perfectly. They update you and check-in quite often to make sure you have all the information or help that you need. Give them a try, they are located in a good spot where you can walk to good restaurants, fanny bridge, beach and a great walk along Lake Tahoe.
Will give this place an easy 5 stars. Place is close to everything, quiet and walking distance to the lake. They have very good coffee too!!! We loved waking up and sipping freshly brewed coffee in the morning. Clean rooms and comfy bed. Would love t
This is an adorable tucked away cafe that's delicious. Parking is a tight squeeze but don't let that scare you away. They have multiple people working the registers so the lines move fast! We ordered the minestrone soup, carrot cake which was not ove
