I stayed here while traveling through and the room was very clean, bed was comfy, and room was nicely decorated. My only complaint would be the lack of outlets in the bathroom but that is normal for an era motel. I felt very safe in the area as a woman traveling alone. Great places to eat nearby too!
Absolutely beautiful motel! We booked the Rawhide room and it was beyond our expectations. The western theme is done so tastefully with so many little touches. We truly wished we could stay more than the one night! Owner and his sweet dog Sam were there to greet us and help with any questions we may have had. Perfect location, too, right on Route 66. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend!
I stayed at Motel Safari as I was driving through from Phoenix to Detroit. Booking and check-in was easy. They prep your room for your arrival by making sure the lights are already on and have oldies playing on the radio inside, I thought that was a nice touch. It really added to the MCM experience which I’m a sucker for. My room was super clean and had everything I needed. Highly highly recommend staying here.
This place was amazing! From the fabulous decor, to the comfort of the room, I will definitely stay again! Staff was friendly - loved meeting Sam the dog too! The bed and pillows were perfect for a great night's sleep. I highly recommend this motel!
This meticulously renovated motel offers an incredible nostalgic ambiance, crafted with exceptional care and passion. Unlike typical nostalgic motels, the attention to detail goes beyond the surface. Be sure to say hello to Sam, the charming and slightly bashful Boxer pup, adding to the delightful experience.
Amazing place. We had booked the Best Western for this night but so so glad we changed as otherwise we would have missed out on one of the highlights of our route 66 trip. My suite was one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in - like staying in a 1950s/60s museum but with all mod cons and very clean and well appointed. Nice to have seats outside all the rooms (plus a communal area) to sit and watch the world go by and the sun go down. Great place.
Wow!|There are few vestiges of the Route 66 experience remaining. This one is the real deal, a VERY nicely restored motor lodge from the 50s-60s in iconic Tucumcari. | The owners have an eye for detail. It’s so nice and clean, and the room is perfectly modern in terms of comfort and amenities, without sacrificing the period feel of the place. | It is a motor lodge…the rooms are not real big and you park just outside your door. Pretty much every motel on popular highways were like this in the 50’s-60’s. Very few authentic ones remain. If you’ve never stayed in one try it. This particular one is so well managed, so comfortable…I’ll stay here again not only because it’s cool, but also because it’s a clean, comfortable, reasonable room. | Enjoyed a nice meal at a restaurant down the street, too. | Tucumcari isn’t exactly a resort town, but it’s in a place that’s convenient for stopping along I-40 and has a nostalgic feel due to its Route 66 history. A stay at Motel Safari is worth stopping here.
Wonderful! This is easily one of the cleanest motels ever. We've stayed there three times this year on cross-country trips and it has been consistently great. Really nice owner accompanied by a super sweet dog. Really easy to get to. Comfortable rooms. Great prices. Highly recommend.
Our stay at the Blue Swallow along historic Route 66 was absolutely fantastic! The charming decor, spotless rooms, and welcoming staff created a memorable experience. Nestled conveniently close to local attractions, it's the perfect retreat for both
I own a house in Tucumcari, so Iâve seen quite a few small businesses come and go. Carlson Coffee Company is a business I truly hope to see stand the test of time. It is such a tried and true setting of any small town. The local coffee house. On my
Twyla and Vicky have always been so helpful to me! Everyone here has a passion for the industry, and genuinely seems happy to be here. The best part is how well it shows, both in the clean decorum, with many decorative pieces and helpful information,
What nice people work there! Nice from the door to the floor. Great prices and great inventory!! Than you to Kim yesterday with the help, and my sweet friend from my last trip ⤠I would highly recommend this store..you won't be disappointed!!
This is a small, privately owned campground that is well run and clean. All sites a pull through and fairly large, they take great care in ensuring you and other guests can get in and out of the aisles. They have full hook ups at all sites. Bathro
The atmosphere was cozy. They had a fresh salad bar, which looked delicious, and I will try next time. The food was hot, fresh, and had a good flavor. The server was attentive and friendly. Everything we got was good, and we look forward to coming
We were extremely pleased with our stay at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. We arrived a bit late on a very chilly night and were welcomed by a toasty warm room! Thank you Patty!! The room smelled clean which was a nice change from oth
Great place on historic route 66! Excellent Mexican food. Welcoming efficient staff. Beautiful art paintings on walls (for sale) as well as Route 66 souvenirs. Nice tamales and quesidillas. See photos. Very reasonable prices...$27 for 2 platter meals
I've always liked coming to this park. It's big with enough space for mutiple activities. Lots of parking. Picnic area, playground, and dog friendly. Very clean. Nice area.
