Motel 6 Wilkes Barre, PA - Arena - Motel in Wilkes-Barre Township - 884 Schechter Dr, USA

It was such a nice experience. We had an emergency after a bad storm in our home and had to vacate for the night. We were told 2 days, so we booked 2 days - the one and only issue we had was "do u accept pets?" Because on the site it says they do, but then I was reading mixed reviews on,"only certain hotels accept." I didn't want to book and show up to be turned away with my son and the dog on top of having knee troubles. So I called, and it felt like the lady was more focused on me paying for 2 nights with her and not booking online vs. answering my questions. That's the only issue I had. I couldn't leave my dog in the house because if the house caught fire, she wouldn't have made it, so it was definitely needed to bring the dog. I didn't find out until I booked and showed up! They do charge a 50 dollar pet deposit fee, which we found out when we got there. That aside, it was a really nice stay. We only needed one night. The manager was really nice, and let me tell ya - had a lot of patience. I was such a mess dealing with all the trauma going on, I must've asked him the same questions 10 different times, and he explained the answer every time, with no frustration. The hotel was clean, the environment was friendly, and we did feel welcomed. We were greeted with a welcome! And a smile, to me, that made a difference. Other people had pets as well, and there wasn't a dog smell or animal smell - if that makes sense. There weren't any barking or loud noises all night. It was peaceful. It was like a little break from life for a night. They also have fast food places, basically in the next parking lot. Walmart across the street, very convenient location. Thank you for everything!

Hotel à éviter car c'est sale et défraichi. À grand besoin d'un bon rafraichissement, et d'un grand ménage...De plus, le prix ne vaut absolument pas l'expérience. Comme accueil, nous avons eu droit à une effluve de cannabis dès les portes de l'hotel, et au desk d'enregistrement aussi...Il y avait des draps par terre sous une machine distributrice de liqueurs dans le lobby car elle coulait, les tapis étaient crasseux, et les murs et portes tous poqués et besoin d'un bon coup de pinceau. Dommage car il y à 6 ans nous avions adorés.

We came up to Wilkes-Barre for a funeral and stayed a couple of days. The price was excellent. The Lobby and the first floor rest room were sparkling clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Our room was in excellent condition - I couldn't find a loose screw anywhere. The sheets and towels were soft and fluffy and did not smell like perfume (a really big deal for me).Would definitely stay here again.

Positive: I was impressed with how nice the room was. Definitely modern and pretty nice. Housekeepers were all polite and respectful if you wanted privacy, every worker at the desk was nice and helpful. Overall very nice especially considering the price. Negative: Could definitely have better options for what to watch on tv like netflix or whatever or movies on ppv, because flipping through 600 channels of mostly informercials kinda sucks, but that¿s the only bad thing I can say about it. This is the cleanest Motel 6 that I have ever stayed at. It's a bed and a shower and it gets the job done. We're traveling with a dog so bonus points for it being pet friendly as well. We arrived right before midnight and the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. They also have lobby coffee.

I often stay at Motel 6 when I am traveling because they are a good value and pet friendly. I also like that there is a deposit for the pet, but you get it back, so the price you book on line is the price you actually pay. I have to say that this is the best Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. It was clean, the staff was courteous, and the hotel was very quiet despite being right near the highway. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was very clean and modern. The hotel is situated next to many food and retail places. Staff was friendly. Ice machine works. There is no dresser drawers, though. Overall, I would stay again.

Great location not far off of RT81 and surrounded by plenty of stores, restaurants and fast food options. The road in is little pot holey, so use caution. Rooms were nice and fairly clean. Employees were mostly friendly, but the housekeeping staff seemed to watch everyone passing through to their rooms like the people didnt belong there. Bed I had was comfy enough. Hotel was quiet. Seen some pets there so it is pet friendly. Price was right. Would def stay here again
