Motel 6 Wichita, KS – South I-35 - Motel in Wichita - 607 E 47th St S, USA

Very horrible the good reviews are probably from family or friends. Room smelled like smoke bad. Bathroom walls were dirty. Crack heads and drunks everywhere, spend the extra $20-40 get a better place Not worth the $80 more like $40 and that's alot. Will definitely report the unclean and nastiness to the proper places. Had to give it a ☆ but definitely a negative ☆☆☆☆☆

Room was clean. HOWEVER I am few rooms down and all I can hear is the constant whining of a washer in their laundry room. I understand people checkout doors slam no biggie. But at 8 am I feel as if I am in the wash machine. I called front desk, I told him he said housekeepers are cleaning, I replied I've worked in laundry I also got up and followed the noise it's your wash machine. He replied ok, I will tell them, yet the noise continues. DON'T STAY WITHIN 5 ROOMS OF THIS WASHER/DRYER. Now judging from the noise we are on the rinse cycle Joy! Haha

Booked this place as a layover. Was only going to stay for a few hrs to get some sleep before hitting the road again so I didn’t need something stellar. Checked in about midnight, front desk guy was nice enough. My husband and I both went to the front desk but he only gave us one key (weird, but ok). I had requested a non-smoking room on the first floor. We got to our room and it reeked of smoke. The no smoking sign was on the door. There were burn marks on the tub, as well as on the outer bedding. I contemplated going up and asking for another room but we were both so exhausted that we just wanted to get some sleep. The at 6am my alarm went off and and hit the road by 630. We smelled like an ashtray all day. Never again. When a customer asks for a no smoking room, you give them a no smoking room.

It's not a terrible place to stay, if you just need the basics. No fitness room, sauna, pool, etc. The rooms are decent sized. They only negative, in my opinion, is the mountain of a curb you have to drive over to enter/exit the parking lot. If you have bad shocks or a low vehicle, your gonna scrape-and that's best case scenario

With the amount of traveling I do for my job , I get in the habit of staying in the same places when I work in the same towns . They half hearted remodeled , just enough to be considered a motel 6. It does have roaches now . You would think that there would be complementary shampoo in the the rooms , but there wasn't. The towels looked like they're a hundred years old. They have turned down the water pressure to the point it takes twice as long to have a proper shower. And raise our rate 30 dollars per night. We will be looking for a new motel to stay in when we are in town do to the drug traffic and the hotel manager.

Very Bad Element. I checked in late Fri September 8/20/23 I was there maybe an hour and saw a bed bug crawling on the floor I put it in a plastic cup to show the manager. He said the rooms didn’t have them but shortly after I got bit on each side of my leg. I Requested a different room and got two more bits on my back🛑 so he did give me my &00 back but it was an awful and there was roaches as well awful experience!!!. Regretfully , Linda Downs

By far the best Motel 6 in Wichita. This hotel recently has been completely remodeled, updated and reopened as a Motel 6. The front desk was very helpful, friendly and willing to accommodate. Room was clean with new beds and bedding, can definitely tell they recently put new flooring in, painted and updated all furnishings. The location had many options for restaurants and stores near by. For the price is definitely worth the stay.

I didn’t get to check the cleanliness of the room because as soon as I walked in I was overwhelmed by this horrrrrible smell. I asked for another room, and the second room was only slightly better but still smelled so bad! It was disappointing but I got a refund and stayed somewhere else.
