Motel 6 West Monroe, LA - Motel in West Monroe - 401 Constitution Dr, USA

I reserved a room for 3 nights at 8:05PM. I called at 10:30PM (in route from out of town) to let them know that it may be around midnight when I would arrive. The front desk manager (MICHELLE) was super rude to me when I called. She told me she canceled my room because she tried to run the card for one night and it didn’t go through. She canceled the room at 9:36PM. Strange, because my account was in good standings and I’ve stayed there before with same card no issues. She was not accommodating at all, and actually told me I could stay there but it would be $20 more per night (60 extra total). Michelle was rude from the start of the phone call and was very short with me on any kind of explanation. My wife called to try to speak to her because I was driving in from out of town and she was even more rude to her, stating she could get us banned from all motel 6 locations in the US if she kept calling back (after hanging up on my wife 3 times when all she wanted was an explanation as to why the room was canceled without notifying anybody). The last time I stayed there, the lady up front was nice..doubt it was the same person. I decided to go somewhere else instead of being screwed by paying more, especially since she told us to hurry up and make a decision because there were many people in line to get the last bit of rooms available. Paid $100 more than the price I would’ve paid at motel 6 and you wouldn’t believe it..my card worked when they ran it 🙄🤦🏻. Rooms were decent for the online price, I recommend going to Red Roof Inn. At least you won’t get threatened there and the rooms I’ve stayed in are nicer than motel 6.

This place was a dump. I didn’t like anything. There was hair all over the restroom floor. Boogers stuck on the wall. The tv hand handprints all over it. The floors were filthy. The refrigerator was scratched and rusty. There were badly patched holes in the walls and doors. The sink was dirty. The shower had stains. The bed was hard. The pillowcases were dirty. And there was a dead bug in our towels

What can I say, " You get what you pay for." If you want a cheap hotel, this place is it" If you want a clean sanitary place with clean bed linen, go somewhere else.. This place was filthy, from the dirty floors to the nasty bedspreads. There was bugs on the floors, and I must of killed at least two roaches. I was itching all night from the dirty sheets.. We had two Dogs in our room, and one of the kids that lives at this hotel, which I'm assuming, is family to the owners though it would be fun to knock on our door to get our dogs barking more that once until I caught him in the act.

The positive is that it was a place to sleep and we had a dog. The place was dirty. I thought I saw a maid cart and wanted to clean the room. Did not sleep on sheets or took off shoes or took shower. On the funny side there was a review that talked about a bed spread that had a burn hole in it. I figured for sure they would have pulled that out of rotation. I think we got that bed spread or they have more…. I understand that you might not want to do much to a room that will have a dog in it but at least sweep the floor and maybe mop the bathroom floor 🙄😞

I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but nothing will change if not. ||I normally stay here when I come to town bc it’s the cheapest & I don’t need anything fancy just to sleep (as long as it’s clean). But this time, the staff (except for the girl who booked/checked me out) was rude & the room was GROSS. The fridge & toilet were visibly dirty, there was black crayon all over the wall, fist sized holes in the bathroom door, cigarette burns (even tho it’s a non-smoking room) on the edge of the bathtub, the towel draped on the side of the tub was damp with a hole in it & a hair on it, the microwave didn’t work, there was a hole in the wall plugged with toilet tissue, there was a clump of what looked like black mold on the ceiling (I did cough a few times ONLY in the room so who knows), the A/C vent looked like it caught on fire once, the bathroom door lock was hanging from the socket, there was hair in the tub drain, & there was almost no furniture in the room. I think it’s in the process of being sold, so hopefully it will improve with new ownership.

Stay Away!!! 3-19-24 . Now remember this is my room I'm talking about.Will I have so much to say but this motel is the stay away from here! All the best sheets for dirty, all the pillow cases for dirty, the floors were dirty, cigarette burns on the tub, all the towels were stained so they are not using soap, I changed my own sheets and they were dirty, the only thing about this place was the front desk lady was nice. But did not want to change me to another room. Stains on the wall! Curtains Warren and dirty. They even had a string to hold them together! The floor was dirty. Nothing good about the room at all!! Stay away unless you are a crackhead and don't care!!!! I'm sure the review board will try to apologize but there is no way they're going to make this better at all! And I don't even care getting my money back!

Its not hard to figure out why the parking lot is empty considering the ignorant behaviour of the desk clerk. She held a personal conversation on phone while checking me in. Then, when I asked if she needed my truck license plate she said no, my truck wasnt her problem. Didnt seem concerned about security at all. Said that was all my problem. Ignorant attitude. Typical Motel 6 low life.

I’m a frequent stayer at Motel 6 in West Monroe ! My husband travels for work doing fiber optics. I’m alone most of the time threw out the day until late in the evenings some times with my teenage daughter, the staff always welcomes us warmly and makes us feel safe ! Michelle the night time receptionists is always very helpful and never fails to make me laugh at check in! I saw previously someone had made a negative comment about her and I’d like to say she does her job and she doesn’t bend the rules for nobody and that sometimes causes people to be ugly towards you. Over all I choose Motel 6 over most of the high end hotels around this city I’ve only found this ginuwine hospitality at the motel 6 in west Monroe . Everywhere else likes to charge an arm and a leg for rooms that are barley decent. Motel 6 is the place to stay
