Motel 6 Uvalde, TX - Motel in Uvalde - 924 E Main St, USA

After checking in at 3 pm. and having to be moved to a second room [door lock issues]. The room was extremely hot. The ac was off. Upon returning at 10 pm. The room was still over 80 degrees. After taking a shower to cool off there was so much dust on the floor. I had to clean my feet to get into bed. I have found value staying with Motel 6. But for over 100 dollars I was total disappointed with the experience. After search the reviews one has to wonder if corporation is even reading them. The ac problem has been documented several times. I rarely leave negative reviews. This was a trip to attend a funeral service. This experience was even worse due several of my family members also experienced the same issues in their rooms.

I made the mistake of booking this literal roach motel hell through Expedia. We checked in and checked out about 20 minutes later because the beds were completely covered in urine, and there were bed bug carcasses and hair in the beds. The motel refuses to give us a refund because that's just the kind of place they are. Steer very clear of this place at all costs. It should honestly be condemned. Update: After jumping through several hoops, including dealing with corporate, I have been given a partial day refund. The front desk clerk lied and stated I was offered other accommodations and declined. I was not offered anything. I was barely spoken to. Not only is this place unsanitary, but the staff are liars, and the manager is a thief. I have stayed at this chain in various cities, but this will absolutely be the last time I ever deal with them going forward.

The beds were so uncomfortable and rooms were very hot. Ee checked in at 9 pm & our room didn't cool off until after 3am. Very disappointed and will not stay there again!! In the morning I mentioned to the front desk lady on how hot the room was and she didn't say a word she just looked at me and continued with what she was doing.

The bathroom wall close to toilet looked like it had mold and someone just tried painting over it. The tub did not drain properly. There was dirt in most corners of the room. The air conditioner did not get the room cool, we had to ask for a fan.

I might have well slept in an oven last night. The room had no shower curtains no toilet paper and was about 100deg $133.00 WHAT A WASTE A PARK BENCH WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.......and by the way it won't let you post with 0 stars on review 🤔 .

My only real complaint was that the room was so hot. The hotel is in a super convenient location and the staff was super friendly but our room (even set at 66) was warm. We went to ask for a fan but the only 2 they had were broken :(. I would most definitely return if AC issue were fixed!

We had a total of 7 dbl rooms. For two weeks none of the A/C were working. We were given box fans for the first week and then the second week not even the box fans were working. And, all of the rooms rates went up every time. From 142 per night not incl taxes for the first 2 rooms. Then 165 for the next two rooms, then 196 for the next 3 rooms. Then they refused to compensate us for not having A/C. I would think after paying that kind of money we'd get some type of credit back to our account.

I love Motel 6 and always choose it in areas where it's available. My experiences have mostly been positive, but the room I was given in Uvalde was my most uncomfortable experience I've ever had with a Motel 6. Management keeps the air conditioning completely off in the rooms, and it is extremely hot there, so entering my room felt like walking into a giant oven. You would expect to enter a cool, inviting air conditioned room. Especially after hours of travel and carrying all of your things to that room in the heat outside. The last thing you want is to enter an ever hotter, uninviting space. Luckily the a/c did work, it just wasn't turned on in anticipation for my arrival. When the temperatures outside are in the 90's you can imagine how extremely hot it gets it a closed up second floor room with no air. So I turned it on and waited... and waited... in the extremely uncomfortable heat of that room. And it took a good while before the room actually began to cool down to a bearable temperature so I could finally start to relax after my journey. I have business and Uvalde and will be returning regularly, however I will unfortunately have to find a different hotel chain to stay with, which is very inconvenient because I love Motel 6! This location just doesn't make the cut. For $112/night I expect the room to at least be ready to be occupied. This is my first and only negative review for Motel 6 after being a regular all over the country for 6 years.
