Motel 6 Troy, OH - Motel in Troy - 1260 S Dorset Rd, USA

I needed a room desperately. Googled saw this one was a good price and location. I read the reviews, most good until I get to the one about the roaches. Keep in mind I'm desperate. I go in tell the clerk that I read said reviews and had concerns. He says I can check out the room before I decide. Perfect. I go up to the room. 1st of all as a single woman, I would never stay there. It felt so unsafe. The door locks are a joke. I turn on light by the bed, comforter had stains on it. I go to the bathroom as soon as I flip the light on boom a roach runs across the floor and I turn and quickly leave the room. I return the key to the front desk and simply say " you still have roaches" because he said when I 1st asked , no. thb the lobby itself screams don't stay here. Y'all need to clean this place up. I feel like the good " clean " reviews have to be made from friends or family because there us no way.

This is such a wonderful place. The rooms are spacious and tidy. The beds are very comfortable. The sheets are clean. The bathrooms are clean. The staff is awesomely friendly. Bill, The night manager was especially friendly to us. My three-year-old had a coughing in the middle of the night and got sick on our bed. Needed a new comforter, blanket and top sheet and Bill went hunting in the laundry until he found one for us. It was overall a great experience would stay again anytime. 10/10

The rooms are always clean when I have stayed here. Some rooms have a door that could be used to connect two rooms. They are locked in each room.. BUT it always sounds like the people in the other room are right on the other side of the door!!.. walls in general are pretty thin so you can hear a lot of noise, talking and such going on in other rooms very easily!!

Positive: Close to highway. Negative: Cleanliness was not something they know here. The walls were dirty. Parts of the wall was moldy and had water damage. This hotel looked way better in the pictures than in real life. I didnt shower because the floors were dirty I didnt take off my socks Negative: ""

Location was easily accessible, the person was great and got me in quick late at night, like very late, he switched my room when I asked for nonsmoking, and the room seemed fine until I saw three cockroaches. We left early because of that. With that in mind they were tiny and as someone that has worked in food industry and hospitality it is very hard sometimes to keep that problem under control. They looked like there were some rooms they were redoing so that could have flushed some out. The price was very good for a quick place to sleep after being on the road all day long.

Positive: Location was good. Easy to find. Negative: You definitely get what you pay for. Hotel is pet friendly. The chemicals they use to try and cover up the smell are awful. Room was not clean. Would not go barefoot. Negative: ""

Office smelled horrible. Room had no coffee pot. No furniture in room other than bed. Huge area open that probably had chairs at one time. Went across road to waffle house at 5 a.m The 3 people in there laughed when we said we stayed there as it's referred to as bedbug hotel. Cars were coming and goung in night. Didn't get much sleep.

Positive: They accept pets for free Negative: EVERYTHING! ..BUGS EVERY WHERE ... roaches, spiders, drain flies, and fleas.. didn't see bed bugs surprisingly
