Motel 6 Texarkana TX - Motel in Texarkana - 1924 St Michael Dr, USA

This specific Motel 6 stole money from me.||I called to setup a reservation and never got a confirmation email due to my email being misspelled (understandable mistake). However, despite no confirmation email, I showed up to check in and found nobody at the front desk to help me. I took this as a reason to go try to check in else where.||Despite not staying there, I was charged for the night's stay. I have been in contact with Motel 6 to get in touch with the General Manager and have been hung up on multiple times after trying to inquire about a refund. ||Very unfortunate experience.

The rooms had a weird smell to them as soon as we walked through the doors. There were old cigarettes burns on some of the sheets and on the furniture. The walls were dirty. There was dirt left on the floor from whom ever stayed in there before us. With the doors closed, the door didn't completely meet the door frame and didn't make contact to the bottom of the doorway. This lead to a lot of the cold air and bugs to come into the room throughout the night. It was nice to be able to get some rest before heading out on the road again, but definitely not a great experience at all. Also noticed that the person who is hired to clean the rooms had to use a shopping cart to carry linen and cleaning supplies. That is just ridiculous. The owner should be providing proper tools and supplies for their employees. On top of that, the owner should be making repairs to the rooms as well. The only positive is that they allow pets.

I've stayed at Motel 6's several times, and it's always been fine. But my room at this location was pretty awful. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke (causing my luggage to as well). The vents on the air conditioner/heater and bathroom unit were covered in dust. The electrical outlet by the sink was broken. The light in the shower didn't work. The toilet was very stained. The bed was lumpy and squeaky. The pillows were thin and lumpy (one of them felt like half the stuffing had been removed). The bath towel was permanently stained with black smudges. The curtain was hanging on by every other hook. And the desk clerk seemed bored and very unhappy to be there. While the location was great, and the price couldn't be beat, I wished I'd spent an extra $10 and stayed somewhere else.

Room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Electrical outlet by sink didn't work. Light in shower didn't work. The toilet was pretty stained. The bath towel had permanent stains on it. The vents on both the air conditioner/heater and the bathroom unit were covered with lint/dust. The towels and bed blanket were all exceptionally thin. Paint on the bathroom door frame was peeling. Bed was very lumpy and squeaky. One pillow was flat but okay, the other was half-sized and super lumpy -- like half the stuffing had been removed. And the manager who checked me in couldn't have seemed more miserable to be there. I know this hotel is the best deal in town, but it's a classic case of getting what you pay for -- you'd be wise to spend another $10 and stay somewhere else.

It was an okay place to stay for the price! Liked it had a fridge,sink,cook burner,cabinets like a kitchenette.Non Smoking Room smelled like smoke and place on outside was ruined down and dirty. Swimming Pool was not in order and floor was dirty like it had not been cleaned! A little nosy at times. A few of the towels had stains on them before I used them as well. Rooms need to have better and more updates.

WORST place I've EVER stayed. Pictures Show how Filthy & Fire Hazard this is. Floors only quick go over with Just Water. Mini Fridge Freezer Wasn't CLEANED!!! Remote Control didn't work. Smoke Detector Needed Batteries. Mouse kept coming in from hole in corner of floor. People living here, seem to be Drug Addicts. Bedding was Filthy. Cigarette burns and Stained Sheets & Pillow cases. VERY UNSAFE UNSANITARY. NEVA GO HERE AGAIN.

This motel 6 gets a higher rating because of the staff. They were friendly, courteous and professional. Even the housekeepers were nice, which is rare in my experiences. Will definitely stay here again. The motel itself is a little rough/worn down, but not nasty. No weird smells, good water pressure in the shower, clean towels and floors. Can't complain for the price!

Staff was nothing but helpful and kind. Quick resolution of a toilet problem. Check in and out was helpful. The paper mill smell didn't get into the room as much as an outside door please would expect. Walls were a little thin in the kitchen area though. I could hear conversations and cabinets slamming from the next room over as if wall wasn't there. TV remote was missing it's battery cover, and TV was programmed by a previous hotel, I assume. It said a welcome to it instead.
