Motel 6 Stephenville, TX - Featured Reviews (396)
I honestly do not know where to start. I only ended up at this hotel because it was last minute booking and the one other hotel was overpriced that had rooms available. I'm sure they know that they're the only good hotel in the area. The hotel looks sketchy and unwelcoming. It looks like there's about 5 to 10 indian families that live on the other side of the hotel. My thing is I don't understand how someone or people can live at their own business, and not take care of their livelihood or Bread and butter. The building definitely needs a lot of keeping up and the room finishing are horrible. I can understand if a room doesn't have the best cosmetic finishings but at least Have the room's clean and the sheets clean as well. Their pillows are horrible. They smell really bad. I honestly think that this hotel gave me COVID. If I were the owner of this business, I would just convert this hotel into a an apartment complex instead of a hotel since they seem to no care of cleaning the rooms. There is a lot of college students in the area, and i'm sure they would be willing to rent a single for $600 a month. I honestly do not know how this hotel is not closed but the city. Bring your own sheets and blankets if you stay here and bring lysol or bleach to clean the bathrooms because they never be cleaned. The stars on expedia are false.
Staying here for 4 days and the rooms need to be debugger. 1st and final night(tonight) I have found tiny roaches and one even jumped on my arm as I was in bed. The owners claim to try and do better in previous posts but nothing is being done since the problem is more than likely more expensive than they're willing to spend. Very disappointed in the quality in an otherwise beautiful hill country town.
The motel is not in a bad area. The overall look of the place seems like it would be a nice place but that’s a lie. The rooms are filthy, stuff running down the walls. Stains all over the bed sheets with black short hairs. My hair is long and brown obviously that’s not mine! There was dead bugs/ roaches in almost every light. The pool they show in the pictures doesn’t work. It’s a cheap motel but definitely not worth it.
Positive: I was very grateful that rooms were available in Stephenville for the block of time when they were needed (the solar eclipse). Obviously, the location was very convenient for my family and me (all adults). The staff was very friendly and courteous. Negative: I remembered when the hotel first opened as a Ramada Inn decades ago. It has since changed brands (downgrades, IMO) and has undergone refurbishment a number of times, and now well past due for another round of updating. It's definitely showing its age. Negative: ""
Complete dump, they tried to make it modern looking but it’s still nasty!!! It only had 3 flat pillows and I ask the lady upfront for more and she said she’d send someone,,, about time for bed and I call her she said when someone with a key gets there,, no pillows and it’s still a dump
Positive: It was available Negative: The sink didn't drain. There was a large hole in the ceiling and gap under the door and hard to lock the door. Stained walls and seating.
Kinda pricey for the quality of the place ... The walkway on the second floor seems like it is going to break at any moment. Front desk were nice and friendly.
Everything was pretty good, clean cool room, nice comfy bed, microwave, mini fridge, TV. I only have 1 complaint, both of the power outlets in the sink area/ counter don't work. I had to blow dry my hair by the bed. Blow dryer not provided, I brought my own. Other than that I had a good restful sleep. I would stay again.
