Motel 6 Southgate, MI - Detroit - Motel in Southgate - 18777 Northline Rd, USA

It's affordable. Has a bed shower and will keep you out of the elements. That's the only thing I can say that's great. I booked for three days with my kiddos and only stayed one. Pool was closed. Killed a few roaches while there. And the blanket on my daughter's bed had burn holes from cigarettes or something. People had doors open and were kinda just hanging outside. For the most part the location was good. And front desk people friendly. For like 20 bucks more a night you can get a nicer place that has breakfast in the morning.

I had a great stays at this property. Reasonably priced for what was offered. Rooms were slightly dated but was informed by management that property was under new ownership and much renovations were in the works. New parking lot lights for better visibility and new dog bag pick up stations. Nice to walk my coconut corn husky and not having to worry about walking far to pick up my dog droppings

Location is perfect near the freeway, lots of food and shopping. Pool just opened and is a nice get away in the humid Michigan weather. The property is under construction and has new owners. Rooms could use an update but I was told it would be getting a face lift in the upcoming months. My family and I are excited to return for our annual trip next year and see the improvements.

I’ve stayed here before and had issues and I was forced to stay here again for work except this time it was completely different. Rooms were way cleaner and customer service was great (it was terrible before) and I was pleasantly surprised! Come to find out the place is under new owners. Kudos to the new owners, you’re doing a great job. I’ll definitely be back again!

Polite and helpful staff. Clean room with a massive wheelchair accessible bathroom, built in shower seat, and plenty of room ta maneuver around the bed even for a bariatric person, unlike many hotels' "accessible" rooms. I'm no longer in a chair but i spent long enough in one to have awareness of this stuff, so, fear not fellow disabled traveller, this Motel 6 has you covered.

Stayed at this location twice now, & both times have been pleasant. The rooms have been clean, the service has been great. I brought my teacup yorkie both trips & he was very comfortable here & was able to go out with walk without anyone bothering us or saying anything. The entire hotel is non smoking but that's okay. McDonald's is right in front of the building as well as an Arby's so food options are within walking distance. Maybe 2 minutes from the hotel. Other restaurants & options in the are. When we got off at the exit I was worried because their were homeless people sitting there but they aren't bothering anyone & are only trying to survive out in this world. I stay at Motel 6 so often during my travels to different states that they honestly should give me some free stays or members card. I love Motel 6 & this particular one is perfect for a short stay... or a long one... Also, the hotel has vending machines & an ice machine in the laundry room located next to the office.

Stayed here for 4 weeks I was skeptical because of the bad reviews. The hotel pool is closed due to repairs. The rooms were decent sized and comfortable for 3 people and doggos. The TV was around 42 inch. It was a decent size. There's coffee in the office till 10am or mcdonalds or Arby's in the front of the motel. There is nice picnic branches under blue pine trees. Really nice relaxing place. I would stay here again. Thank you for such kind employees our stay was decent.

As soon as I walked in the room it smelled like a dog animal shelter. Fridge was not clean, still had food pieces everywhere. Was told there's a microwave, no microwave. Only one light works. The smell was the worst out of all. Could've went across the street for a few dollars more.
