Got here at 2 am. Went into room 225 and was immediately greeted with a smell of feces. Upon some investigation, I found mouse poop UNDER the bed sheets. We were given a new room to which the beds had long hair all over them, the air conditioning barely works, there was no tv remote, and the bathroom towels have stains and dirt all over them.

I arrived at the end of a very windy day of driving across Kansas, while the winds continued to blow. Even with the windstorm raging, I could not bring myself to stay in the room. It was a room for folks with disabilities, so no carpet, but the linoleum was old and my feet stuck to the floor and made a smacking sound when I walked. There was a big stain on the bedspread that my dog would not stop sniffing. I did not unpack. The lady at the front desk said others had complained about sticking to the floors and it was the cleaner they used. I turned the key card back in immediately and drove up the road to Abilene, and recommend the HIE there highly. To the motel's credit, I did get a full refund without any fuss. The rooms with carpet may be in better shape, but if the only thing available when you stop is a handicap room, I encourage travelers to move on. Individuals with disabilities should be insulted if these accommodations are the best the motel can do.

It was great, unless you want to shower. Nice location, comfy bed, clean room, but I wanted to take a shower in the morning before checkout (about 9:30 am) and there was no hot water. I managed to tolerate the water long enough to stand outside the shower and just wash my hair.

It was a very nice motel fir the money. Staff was great, the room was clean & everything worked. If we travel through again it will be our go to!

Terrifying stay! I arrived on a freezing cold night prior to working a travel shift. When I made it to my room I struggled to get in the door and when I finally got in I turned around to lock the the door and the swing bar lock was scotch taped to the door frame...I thought oh heck no and turned around to leave and the door handle fell off in my hand! It was late and I was limited on funds so I asked for a different room and when asked why I told her, she seemed confused as to why this was a problem... Then in the next room the curtains where falling down and I was unable to close them. It was connected to another room but the adjoining door did not lock. The bed was filthy, the floor was filthy. I decided it was not safe for me to stay in this hotel so I left. I returned my key and told her what was going on she said 'well there's no one in that other room' as if this would some how make me feel better. I should have known by the multiple broken down vehicles, missing tires and other pieces and parts along with uhaul trailers parked in the parking lot that this was not a great spot. I chose not to stay and to pull some emergency funds to get a room down the road. I was unable to get a refund because I purchased online. Normally I would fight this but I didn't feel safe staying there another moment. I know motel 6's aren't known for being the best but when you exchange money for a place to stay there are some basic expectations. I don't usually write reviews but if you're a woman traveling alone hoping for a simple place to lay your head for a night skip this place because no rest will be had!

Ended up having to stay in Salina overnight on short notice for work and had my 2 large dogs with me. I've stayed in a number of different Motel 6 properties because of their generous pet policies. They're usually basic, but clean and welcoming. This one was...not.||It's a little ways out of town on the Interstate near a couple truck stops, so I expected some road noise (of which there is plenty). On a good note, the employee at the front desk when I checked in was friendly and efficient. And there's a large field next door to potty the dogs (but no one seems to pick up their dog poop).||Originally, I was assigned room 116. The door showed signs of having previously been forced and would not latch closed, let alone lock. Thankfully they were able to put me in another room a few doors down.||The room was only moderately clean. Despite being a non smoking room, it smelled of smoke...there was heavy wear on pretty much everything in the room...sagging/broken/stained ceiling tiles...dried, crusted food in the microwave...stained shower with sewer smell...loud noise from other rooms as late as 2am...trash on hotel grounds....||This property certainly goes on my list of *never ever stay here again.*

An interesting smell from the bed and pillows, but the walk in show was amazing.

First let me start off with I stay at Motel 6's all the time when traveling between Kansas and Colorado every weekend. Are they always great? no - Are they inexpensive and convenient? yes. With that being said this is THE WORST MOTEL 6 I have ever stayed at in my life. I was in room 106, it's on the back side of the hotel, apparently the side where all the "permanent residents" stay. The people in the room left of mine were associated with the people in the room right of mine and they were in and out and in and out and in and out between the two all night long, making sure the slam the door shut as if it were never to be opened again each time. Not only were they in and out of the rooms but they were in and out of the shower, I feel like I heard the shower turn on and off at least a dozen times an hour between the 2 rooms. When I say all night, I mean until the sun came up. I must say their decorative taste is amazing though, consisting of cardboard curtains set up and cluttered garbage scattered all over flowing into the outside side walk aka their front yard. They have the whole set up though with a grill and lawn chairs, I am sure the school district is top notch along with the low HOA fees. All jokes aside though I highly recommend staying somewhere else, I promise the extra $10 you'll pay will be worth it. The police patrol the parking lot fairly often throughout the night, thankfully they stop using the "WHOOP, WHOOP" loud siren before 1 am. I have never felt more unsafe in my entire life and I have my CCW on me at all times. Needless to say I didn't get any sleep thanks to my "neighbors." They sit at the doorway and smoke and it doesn't smell great. There were burnt holes in my comforter, so I wouldn't be surprised if they used to rent out room 106 in addition to 107 and 105. I almost forgot to mention the trash car, a car with 5 industrial sized bags stacked on and around it, all night, and it rained so it was soggy trash in the morning. You can hear every semi-truck on the highway, and if the crazy people are quiet you can actually hear bugs crawling around between the bed and the wall. I woke up with one bug bite on my back and I only managed to lay on top of the bed, in my day clothes with my own blanket for a few hours. It's also very close to a small airport that seems to have plans and helicopters landing all night long. I will be certain never to stay at this Motel 6 ever again, but I will still be using Motel 6 in general. This place needs a lot of work though and seriously don't put out-of-town guests between people living there. It was very clear I only booked one night. And please don't tell me "no vaping" when you see my vape when I check in, there's literally people smoking cigarettes while sitting in a chair with the door open - the door that has a decorative "No Smoking" sign on it. All jokes (even though I am not kidding) aside though - don't stay here.

The zoo is great and the staff was very helpful when I had questions. We went on a summer school field trip and the students enjoyed it. It was a super hot day and it was nice to be able to go into the a/c in the museum and enjoy the exhibits.
