Motel 6 Saint Paul, MN - I-94 - Motel in St Paul - 1739 Old Hudson Rd, USA

Beware - when you book a Non-Smoking room it is only 'a request', there is no guarantee that's what you'll get even when your confirmation email says non-smoking?. If I had known this, I gladly would have booked at any other motel that guarantees a non-smoking room when you book a non-Smoking room. I don't smoke, my wife doesn't smoke and my kids don't smoke! We certainly didn't want a smoking room. To be fair though, after traveling 12 hours to this motel, the clerk did say she would cancel the room for us if we wanted to find some place else to stay last minute. I use a CPAP and have now ordered a new mask, hose, connector, filter, and reservoir because it stinks so bad after our two night stay. The room wasn't a deal after spending $100+ replacing rancid medical equipment. Would have been cheaper to stay at a nicer place. All the staff that we encountered were very nice and helpful. And to be fair again, the check-in clerk did tell me to come back down at 6:00 p.m. and if there was a cancellation she would switch us to a non-smoking room. Two other reservations were checking in at 6:00 p.m., both who had reserved non-smoking rooms and both were told, like me, that that's no guarantee and they only have smoking rooms available for them. You can tell they've tried updating the place and it's halfway decent. But why not go all the way and scrub the blood splatter off the walls, replace the toilet seat that has cigarette/meth burns on it, replace the destroyed stickers on the door, redo the moldy caulk, clean the windows, and it's a simple fix for the faucet........ The armed security guard that wanders the halls at night does make you feel a bit safer.

Best motel 6 I've been to. Service was nice and polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and fully stocked and everything worked perfectly. The price was manageable and inside my budget. Definitely will come here again if I'm in the area again. 5 stars from me I recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. Great experience overall.

Secure place for car parking which is great. Possible bed bugs. Saw some cockroaches for sure. Portable AC makes disturbing noise. The non smoking room smelled like there was smoking activity took place before.

First thing you see is a ski mask wearing, gun toting kid working as a security guard. Then the desk kid wanted to give me a discount for a glorious review. He was rude and unpleasant. I don't think the motel 6 people would approve of this location.

THEY LITERALLY HAVE A QR CODE ON THE FRONT “glass” SO YOU CAN LEAVE A EXCELLENT REVIEW FOR A DISCOUNTED PRICE…. and I’m here editing, so they want you to give them 5 stars and show them so they can make sure you posted it, and they’ll give you a discounted rate. location not the best watched several drug transaction take place every night. Did not feel safe going out after dark. The rooms were alright at best. I did let front desk know about the tub being broken in one room. I will say the ac units are older but they work fantastic!!! We ended up checking out early and headed home mid day

Tosha helped with our check in. Editing after we have left since original review is just to get the discounted deposit. You either pay $100 deposit or $50+leave a review and show it to them. At check in. Before you even get to see the rooms. The staff was nice and kind at least. Really the only upside to this place. It's old. Needs renovation badly. The floors are gross and sticky. Our whole room was basically sticky. The remote, the floors, the blankets. The showers had black stuff between the tiles. Mildew or mold? Literally minimum effort put into the room. Desk, chair, two beds, a night stand, and TV. That's all. No decor nothing. Plus one our lights flickered really badly. Thankfully my kids noticed while I was out of the room and let me know we cant use it. (I have epulepsy, super glad they double checked lights for me.) No fridges or microwaves in room. It's all down stairs and there's only one. No vending machines that we saw.

I had the best experience possible with Vamm. He was patient and understanding with me and other guests. He is ready and available to help. He is calm and collected and is very friendly and personable. I would book again just because of him

Tosha is a wonderful ray of sunshine, when she wants to be. Not the best in hotel performance overall. It works for a place to stay at in a pinch. Depending on the room, you may or may not get functioning amenities. I chose it due to not having anywhere I could afford to be with my dog. I did gift some stools out front which I hope are being used.
