I never write this kind of negative reviews, but my recent experience at Motel 6 Rolling Meadows compels me to share this. I stayed at this motel and upon checking out, I discovered an unexpected charge on my credit card. When I contacted the front desk to inquire about this charge, I was told it was due to the room being "messy." I must clarify that as a law school graduate, I pride myself on maintaining high standards wherever I go. During my stay, I was preparing for a move and spent minimal time in the room—essentially just to sleep. I left the room in the same condition I found it, even taking care to throw out trash. When I asked to see photos of the alleged mess, the front desk was unable to provide any. Moreover, the staff's response was unhelpful, with them insisting that the housekeeper's word was final and there was nothing they could do. I am 100% sure the housekeepers must have been confused unless this is the tactic the motel uses to charge more on people. I am currently escalating this issue to Motel 6's headquarters to resolve it. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Motel 6 Rolling Meadows. Buyer beware.

Location is quiet, very little traffic in the area. Our room did not have a refrigerator or microwave and the listing didn’t mention this. Additionally the staff is very difficult to deal with and refused to give us four towels when we payed for four guests in the room. Overall a good place to stay if you’re on a budget and don’t mind little inconveniences as previously mentioned.

I reserved a room online and clearly stated I had a pet. I arrived on time got booked in, the process was ok except the nice young man booking me in kept getting interrupted by other staff. He was trying to count my money out and another man came and handed him a stack of bills told him to count them and put them away so he had to stop working with me to do this, so that was unprofessional. I get put on the second floor. Room was decent for the price I can say it was clean didn’t smell or anything. I settled in. 3 hours later they are calling and knocking on the door telling me I have to move NOW because I have a pet. I had a lot of stuff with me so I had to relocate all of my stuff to a 1st floor room which I guess is policy for pets. As soon as I walked in I knew why the first floor is for pets, it was questionably clean. It sure didn’t look clean. The blankets have stains, scratches and holes. The carpet was tore up in front of the door, as well as a part of the flooring. The remote didn’t work, but it was dead batteries which they changed for me. The curtain was nasty. The bathroom had some flaws where looks like a pet clawed up the door. One of the guests that stays long term said the first floor was “purgatory” I’d have to agree! The area is back off in a secluded area. A lot of long term renters. Clean, not smelly and somewhat cozy if you get the second or third floor but the first floor is definitely a down grade! The day of checkout everything was fine, the guy says he has to go check the room before he gives me my deposit. He came back and said the carpet in front of the door is tore up and he can’t refund me because of that. He said my dog did that. Funny thing is I take pictures EVERY time I go into a room, not my first time.. I explained that was like that when I got there he got rude and stated it was not so I told him I could show him the video of damages of the room before I even got my stuff in it, he reluctance my deposit but did not want to and seriously doubted me. SO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE ROOM or you will be blamed for it!

If you are not happy with the service, just pull on the Fire Alarm at the reception lobby, it's next to the door as you leave. I think, the Indians who own this place are running a scam. I think, at least 50% of the people who stay don't get their deposits back. They always find a way to not give back the money. And, I paid cash. Probably, who pay with a card EVEN worse, takes up to 2 weeks to get the deposit back, and that is if they decide to give it back. Also, they DON'T give receipts if you pay cash, they are probably keeping the cash.

Motel staff is not good at all, i don’t know how to contact manager or owner of this motel, I call them to confirm they aren’t answering the calls and if answered then saying stay on the line for too long time and disconnecting the calls, talking in a rude way, I call tonight 9:30 pm 30 August please change that staff as soon soon possible, I asked his name and he told me RAM, i don’t know he was saying correct. Please it’s a request from motel management to look your staff what they are doing.

I have been staying at the Motel 6 in Rolling Meadows for about week. It is affordable and the staff are great. Free coffee and a very nice place to stay. I would highly recommend.

Im gonna start with the positives the price is cheap, and the room they put me in seemed recently renovated. However, the room retained a mildewy or moldy smell that I think is coming from the AC filter or they painted over a nasty wall. The building is in a very bad state it seems like the walkways are sagging on the higher floors. Now, I stay at Motel 6 across the country and have never had room service demand that I leave the room for 10 minutes. (Room was clean) My problem with it was my cash and valuables that weren't secure! If I was told in advance I would haven't had an issue with this but the staff seems to have a problem communicating in English so they kept acting like I was talking nonsense when I said "Its not normal to treat your paying customers like they are in county jail".... It is not common for any motel to demand you leave the room for a closed door inspection especially when they have your cash deposit.

If you want cigarette holes in your sheets, you’ve come to the right place! Non swept floors and awful smelling water? You have found the spot! This hotel is by far the worst I’ve ever stayed at. I booked a 4 night stay and checked out after night # 1. Awful, disgusting hotel. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy! The staff wasn’t helpful either. I understand you have a no refund policy, because you are literally robbing people. DO NOT BOOK HERE FELLOW TRAVELERS!!!
