Motel 6 Putnam, CT - Motel in Putnam - 5 Heritage Rd, USA

Avoid this place at all cost. If I could leave zero stars I would. The hallway smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette in it. As soon as I opened the door to the room I was assaulted with the stench of cat urine. Bad enough to set off my allergies when I tried going to bed. Which was almost impossible due to the rock hard mattress set upon a metal slab. Which made noise every time you moved. When we complained in the morning they asked why we did not complain at 1 AM. Human decent maybe? Which they don't have obviously as after refusing to make the situation right they double charged us. Don't stay here unless you have to in my opinion.

Stay at your own risk. Last night 8-18-2024, had to call 911 due to a violent fight in room 220. Turns out Vinnie, the owner knew them for a while, and they live at the motel, funded by the state. Today, 8-19-2024, returned to our new room, and the room/key lock’s battery was dead and we couldn’t gain entry. Then, the front desk lady asked the other permanent resident staying in room next to us to break in to our room from the outside window, which he did. Then he let us into our room. The guy that broke into our room, to let us into our room, warned another “resident” to keep a low profile. Vinnie was no where to be found. Don’t stay at this motel.

I enjoyed my stay (13-16 July 2023) for the most part. This Hotel use to be “KNIGHTS INN”. The 3 ladies I met in House Keeping are extremely friendly an helpful along with the maintenance man. It rained all day on Sunday they checked on us an allowed my Grandson to play in the hall gave advice where to order from as well. They kept my room clean & when I spoke with them personally they made sure I had what I needed in my room after the first day/night. THANK YOU LADIES 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 The Hotel is Pet Friendly 🐾 The Hotel is 420 friendly that was clear with the smell in the hall way as you walked in; howeva it is a 420 state so I could overlook the smell. The front desk lady & man are rude I let the lady know my fire alarm was going off she got upset and walked away yelling at me. She didn’t care that I asked if room notified the front desk that Fire Alarm was going off (as I had my grandson) she just got more upset when I pointed was traveling with a 17mos old baby and I had to walk to the front desk to alarm them myself cause no one picked up the phone. I couldn’t go get extra towels & they weren’t willing to walk them to my room I was informed to reuse my towels & wash cloths because we are only allowed four per day🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I was like I have a baby with me and it’s Summer extra towels & wash cloths was needed! All an all besides the front desk folks my stay wasn’t bad at this hotel. My first time staying at a Motel 6. I have included pic for your enjoyment 🥰

1. No hot water in shower only in the sink. Had to wash up with my own products in the sink and wash hair in the sink. 2. No hair dryer as mostly all other hotels supply them as they are attached to the walls. 3. No coffee in lobby or in rooms as mostly all other hotels in this country supply either one or the other. 4. It cost $110.00 for one night and these above issues are my complaint. --Are the other Motel 6s in this country the same or just this location??

This is really a place for truckers and construction workers (and maybe one-night stands...) Even though I specifically requested a non-smoking room, it was obvious from the strong odor that the room had been smoked in. The room was also pretty shabby. Had planned to stay for several nights; checked out after the first night. Will never return.

While the woman checking me in on Nov 3 was lovely that was end of pleasantries There are very loud guests who appear to be inebriated or on drugs. They smoke cigarettes right outside the exit door & make rude comments as I walk my dog The gal at front desk morning of Nov 4 was beyond rude. The internet is not working. I called twice. She claimed to have reset the system on my 2nd call. Told me I had to wait another 20 minutes for it to reset I explained I need internet to work She suggested I come sit in lobby to work unacceptable.!!!! At $150/night the internet should work I attempted to call back a 3rd time & she hung up without answering It has been an hour since my initial call & still no internet
