Motel 6 Portsmouth, VA - Featured Reviews (355)
I forgot to take pictures, but the worst place I have ever stayed. Could not close the bathroom door, cut my foot on broken tile, the a/c was leaking, and mold was growing on the bathroom walls. Was charged $90 when it was advertised at $55😐
This hotel is horrendous. DO NOT STAY HERE. There was black mold on the wall, NO sheet on the bed, exposed electrical wiring, the one towel had a cigarette burn, the door didn't fully latch and a horrible smell that was so bad that after spending 5 minutes in the room I left and slept on a floor of a friends Airbnb with no blanket. And will do the same for the remainder of my 3 night not so relaxing get away to beautiful Portsmouth 🤪.Again - I can not recommend not staying here enough. Easily the worst hotel I've experienced.
I was given a smoking room after asking for non-smoking (bedspread had cigarette burns). I only had one towel for 5 days after calling the desk twice for a clean towel. The shower has very low pressure and NO HOT WATER. The tv was stuck on a foreign language channel and could not be changed.
We had a wonderful visit, the front desk staff was super nice, and helped us with directions to the oceanfront, and gave us a variety of different things to do with the family, they couldn’t have been more helpful and nice, we will definitely be staying with them for every trip down from here on out. Thank you to all the staff. Also property was neat and clean, we were happy across the board, Super Job Everyone, and thank you for all your help. See you next visit.
The desk associates have the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a hotel ever. Stayed here for a night and booked another night to stay over online ant 9am prior to checkout and they made us remove our things at 11am and come back at 4pm for checkin time. Why they preferred to pay the room attendant to clean the room unnecessarily is ridiculous as well as making us leave for 5 hours. Upon checking back in they said the card declined for the previous night but again I prepaid on Priceline so their comprehension level is definitely lacking and I had to sit on the phone with Priceline to get a refund. Went next door to Red roof where the front desk was much friendlier and rooms are better as well.
first of all half of these reviews are fake. ANY review with five stars is fake. This hotel managers is not only rude but gets over on people with their money. He will charge you $90 for what was supposed to be a double bedroom and get mad when you tell him you don’t want it. He’s currently charging people way higher rates because it’s “ his hotel , his rate “ . To the REAL owner of this establishment , i’m reporting everything including the mold , roaches , broken counters , messed up AC units and the disgusting acting manager to the better business bureau . The manager in place now acts likes a child when it comes to adult conversations , he lied about pricing three times and kicked me out and told me that i can’t rent because he lied to ME about the prices .. then after checking me out my room WITHOUT letting me KNOW he offered me room 125 and at the time the room was extremely dirty , counters were just “ put back together “ literally . and floors were sticky from construction .. WITH ONLY ONE BED INSIDE! and that room was supposed to be a double bed. disgusting place and disturbing manager.
Very clean rooms, Staff is very helpful, and anything you need they do there best to make a customer satisfied!! Great place to get a room
I’m a single mother with 2 small children that was displaced and this is the only place I can afford to stay weekly. I am absolutely disgusted. My room is covered in mold. After I was told no refunds I scrubed the entire room for 8 hours. I wasn’t expecting much but this is ridiculous. I contacted the health department. I’ve provided photos. Looks like the room hasn’t been swept since the year I was born. What is housekeeping doing? Is she just making the beds back up in between guests? **edit - I went ahead and checked out this morning. I’d rather sleep in the car. I literally caught a bed bug in a plastic bag and took it took the office. Mrs. Sheena/sheela (whateva her name is) started screaming in my face they don’t have bed bugs. If you complain about her trifilin hotel she talk to you any kinda way. So since it wasn’t a bed bug I guess she got nothing to worry about cuz I put it through her kitchen window in her little apartment behind the office.
Excellent, friendly staff at the Coleman Nursery exhibit! I have fond childhood memories from seeing the collection, and this year I learned how the magical stories for its present-day curators continue.
One of the cutest places. The food was amazing, the coffee was perfect. The prices were not too shabby especially compared to other coffee places. Will definitely be back. Parking can be tricky. We went before an event started and got parking. When w
This Museum maybe be small but itâs full of amazing history covering Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and the Norfolk Greater Area from the Colonial Era to today. The Museum also includes a tour of a lighthouse ship the Portsmouth during warm weather.
This place was exceptionally good. The atmosphere is very calming and chill. We had a reservation and got seated on time. The food is tapas style, so small sharable plates. Protein sizes around about 4 to 5 ounces a plate. My wife and I got 6 food i
It was very easy to buy tickets online. The staff was super friendly. My daughter had so much fun exploring and playing in the museum. The second floor was closed the day we went, but we still enjoyed it and were there for hours.
Super unique spot. Like stepping back in time. Great german menu. So hard to choose. Brings me back to my childhood. Tasty food. Friendly service. Highly recommended.
